أعلنت وزارة الخارجية السعودية إتاحة برنامج «Global Entry» للمواطنين السعوديين، ضمن برامج المسافر الموثوق التابعة لوكالة الجمارك وحماية الحدود الأمريكية، في خطوة تستهدف تسريع إجراءات السفر وتسهيل الدخول إلى الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية.
وأوضحت الوزارة أن البرنامج يتيح للمستفيدين إنهاء إجراءات الدخول عبر مسارات مخصصة وأجهزة الخدمة الذاتية، بما يقلل الحاجة إلى الانتظار في طوابير التفتيش وإجراءات الوصول، ويسرّع عمليات التحقق من الهوية وجوازات السفر.
تسهيلات عند الوصول والمغادرة
ولا تقتصر مزايا البرنامج على إجراءات الوصول إلى المطارات الأمريكية، بل تشمل أيضاً الاستفادة من مزايا برنامج التفتيش السريع «TSA PreCheck»، الذي يتيح للمسافرين استخدام مسارات مخصصة لتسهيل إجراءات التفتيش الأمني عند المغادرة.
التقديم إلكترونياً
وبحسب وزارة الخارجية، يمكن للمواطنين السعوديين الراغبين في الاستفادة من البرنامج التقديم إلكترونياً عبر الموقع الرسمي، واستكمال المتطلبات اللازمة للحصول على الموافقات، على أن تمتد العضوية لمدة خمس سنوات.
ويأتي إتاحة البرنامج في إطار تعزيز التعاون الثنائي بين المملكة العربية السعودية والولايات المتحدة الأمريكية، وتوسيع خيارات السفر الميسر للمواطنين السعوديين.
The Saudi Ministry of Foreign Affairs announced the availability of the "Global Entry" program for Saudi citizens, as part of the Trusted Traveler Programs of the U.S. Customs and Border Protection, in a move aimed at speeding up travel procedures and facilitating entry into the United States.
The ministry explained that the program allows beneficiaries to complete entry procedures through designated lanes and self-service kiosks, which reduces the need to wait in inspection lines and arrival procedures, and accelerates identity and passport verification processes.
Facilitations upon Arrival and Departure
The benefits of the program are not limited to entry procedures at U.S. airports, but also include the advantages of the expedited screening program "TSA PreCheck," which allows travelers to use designated lanes to facilitate security screening procedures upon departure.
Online Application
According to the Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Saudi citizens wishing to benefit from the program can apply online through the official website and complete the necessary requirements to obtain approvals, with membership lasting for five years.
The availability of the program comes as part of enhancing bilateral cooperation between the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and the United States, and expanding streamlined travel options for Saudi citizens.
