The State of Qatar condemned the targeting of King Fahd International Airport in Dammam by the Houthi group in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, which resulted in the death of two people, injuries to others, and material damage. It considered this a serious violation of the Kingdom's sovereignty and a direct threat to the security of the region, the safety of civilians, civilian objects, and air navigation.
The Ministry of Foreign Affairs reaffirmed - in a statement today (Thursday) - Qatar's full solidarity with the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and its support for all measures it takes to preserve its sovereignty, security, territorial integrity, and interests, emphasizing that the security of the Kingdom is an integral part of Qatar's security and the collective security system of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries.
The ministry expressed Qatar's condolences to the families of the deceased and wished a speedy recovery to the injured.
