بحث وزير الخارجية الأمير فيصل بن فرحان بن عبدالله، خلال لقاءاته في مدينة نيويورك، العلاقات الثنائية وعدداً من القضايا الإقليمية والدولية، وذلك على هامش أعمال الأسبوع رفيع المستوى للجمعية العامة للأمم المتحدة في دورتها الحادية والثمانين، إذ التقى الأمين العام للأمم المتحدة أنطونيو غوتيريش، وأعرب عن شكره وتقديره له بمناسبة قرب انتهاء مهامه، مثمناً جهوده التي بذلها خلال فترة توليه منصبه. كما استعرض الجانبان مجالات التعاون، وبحثا المستجدات الإقليمية والدولية ذات الاهتمام المشترك.
مستجدات أوضاع المنطقة
كما التقى وزير الدولة، وزير الشؤون الخارجية والجالية الوطنية بالخارج والشؤون الإفريقية في الجمهورية الجزائرية، أحمد عطاف، وجرى خلال اللقاء استعراض العلاقات الثنائية بين البلدين الشقيقين وسبل تعزيزها وتطويرها، إلى جانب مناقشة مستجدات الأوضاع في المنطقة والجهود المبذولة حيالها.
والتقى كذلك وزير خارجية الولايات المتحدة المكسيكية روبرتو فيلاسكو ألفاريز، وناقش الجانبان أبرز القضايا الإقليمية والدولية، وتبادلا وجهات النظر حول التطورات الراهنة والجهود الدولية المبذولة بشأنها.
During his meetings in New York, Foreign Minister Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah discussed bilateral relations and a number of regional and international issues, on the sidelines of the high-level week of the 81st session of the United Nations General Assembly. He met with UN Secretary-General Antonio Guterres and expressed his gratitude and appreciation to him on the occasion of the nearing end of his term, commending the efforts he made during his time in office. The two sides also reviewed areas of cooperation and discussed regional and international developments of mutual interest.
Updates on Regional Situations
He also met with the Minister of State, Minister of Foreign Affairs and the National Community Abroad and African Affairs of the People's Democratic Republic of Algeria, Ahmed Attaf. During the meeting, they reviewed the bilateral relations between the two brotherly countries and ways to enhance and develop them, in addition to discussing the latest developments in the region and the efforts being made regarding them.
He also met with the Foreign Minister of the United Mexican States, Roberto Velasco Alvarez, where both sides discussed the most prominent regional and international issues and exchanged views on the current developments and the international efforts being made regarding them.
