ضبطت القوات الخاصة للأمن البيئي 8 مقيمين مخالفين لنظام البيئة من الجنسيات الفلبينية والباكستانية والسورية واليمنية، لاستغلالهم الرواسب في منطقة مكة المكرمة، وطُبقت الإجراءات النظامية بحقهم. وأوضحت القوات أنه تم ضبط 6 معدات تستخدم في تجريف ونقل التربة.
صيد دون ترخيص
وتمكنت القوات الخاصة للأمن البيئي وهي تؤدي مهامها في تنفيذ نظام البيئة من ضبط 3 مواطنين مخالفين لنظام البيئة لارتكابهم مخالفة الصيد دون ترخيص في محمية الملك عبدالعزيز الملكية، بحوزتهم بندقية شوزن، وبندقية هوائية، و358 ذخيرة منوعة، و117 كائناً فطرياً مصيداً، وطبقت الإجراءات النظامية بحقهم.
عقوبات وغرامات
وشددت القوات على الالتزام بنظام البيئة ولوائحه التنفيذية التي تجرم صيد الكائنات الفطرية، مؤكدةً أن عقوبة استخدام بنادق الشوزن في الصيد دون ترخيص غرامة 100000 ريال، وعقوبة الصيد دون ترخيص غرامة 10000 ريال، وعقوبة الصيد في أماكن محظور الصيد فيها غرامة 5000 ريال، وعقوبة صيد طائر السمان دون ترخيص غرامة 1500 ريال، وعقوبة صيد طائر الحمام 1000 ريال. وأهابت في الوقت ذاته إلى المبادرة بالإبلاغ عن أي حالات تمثل اعتداءً على البيئة أو الحياة الفطرية، وذلك بالاتصال بالرقم 911 بمناطق مكة المكرمة والمدينة المنورة والرياض والشرقية، و999 و996 في بقية مناطق المملكة، وستعامل جميع البلاغات بسرية تامة دون أدنى مسؤولية على المبلّغ.
The Special Forces for Environmental Security apprehended 8 residents violating environmental regulations from Filipino, Pakistani, Syrian, and Yemeni nationalities for exploiting the sediments in the Makkah region, and legal procedures were applied against them. The forces indicated that 6 pieces of equipment used for dredging and transporting soil were seized.
Hunting Without a License
The Special Forces for Environmental Security were able to apprehend 3 citizens violating environmental regulations for committing the offense of hunting without a license in the King Abdulaziz Royal Reserve, in possession of a shotgun, an air rifle, 358 assorted ammunition, and 117 hunted wildlife specimens, and legal procedures were applied against them.
Penalties and Fines
The forces emphasized the importance of adhering to environmental regulations and their executive bylaws that criminalize the hunting of wildlife, confirming that the penalty for using shotguns for hunting without a license is a fine of 100,000 riyals, the penalty for hunting without a license is a fine of 10,000 riyals, the penalty for hunting in prohibited areas is a fine of 5,000 riyals, the penalty for hunting quail without a license is a fine of 1,500 riyals, and the penalty for hunting pigeons is 1,000 riyals. They also urged the public to report any cases that represent an assault on the environment or wildlife by calling 911 in the Makkah, Madinah, Riyadh, and Eastern regions, and 999 and 996 in other areas of the Kingdom, assuring that all reports will be treated with complete confidentiality without any liability on the reporter.
