Saudi Empowerment and International Presence
The experience of the International Exhibition and Museum of the Prophetic Biography and Islamic Civilization has transformed into one of the most prominent cultural and knowledge projects, presenting the Prophetic biography to the world through modern methods that combine scientific grounding and contemporary technologies, supported by Saudi empowerment that has contributed to establishing its main headquarters in Medina and expanding its international presence.
The exhibition and museum, located on the southern side of the Prophet's Mosque, under the supervision of the Muslim World League, is part of a series of projects aimed at enriching the experience of visitors to Medina and enhancing the presence of Islamic and civilizational content in a contemporary manner that aligns with the diversity of languages and cultures brought by visitors to the Prophet's Mosque from around the world.
The announced satisfaction rate regarding the experience reached 94%, reflecting the level of interest in the project and the interaction with its museum and technical content.
The museum provides a comprehensive knowledge experience through multiple pavilions and halls that address the Prophetic biography and Islamic civilization, utilizing interactive screens, panoramic presentations, projection technologies, holograms, and cinematic displays, while offering guided tours in several languages to enable visitors from various nationalities to engage with the exhibition's content.
Multiple Nationalities..
A Global Message
The diversity of the exhibition's visitors reflects the nature of the message it conveys; the museum in Medina provides its content in multiple languages, aiming to enable visitors to access historical and civilizational information in a direct and clear manner, regardless of their nationality.
The exhibitions also welcome a wide range of guests of the Sacred House; in June 2025, the exhibition in Medina was visited by 2,443 pilgrims from over 100 countries as part of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj and Umrah, indicating the broad international spectrum of the audience reached by the museum experience.
Cultural and Knowledge Project
The project's achievement of this international presence is not separate from the support and empowerment system enjoyed by cultural and knowledge projects in Medina; the exhibition and museum receive support and empowerment from the Medina Development Authority, aimed at enriching the experience of visitors and residents and creating attractive cultural sites, in line with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030.
The inauguration of the main headquarters was attended by the Emir of Medina, while the Secretary-General of the Muslim World League, Dr. Muhammad Abdulkarim Al-Issa, confirmed at that time that the project translates one of the objectives of the Kingdom's Vision and holds significance among initiatives aimed at serving Islam and Muslims and promoting the Prophetic biography and Islamic civilization.
The official interest in the exhibition has extended to its inclusion in cultural programs directed at guests of the Sacred House; the Ministry of Islamic Affairs, Call, and Guidance allows guests of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques Program for Hajj and Umrah to visit the exhibition during their stay in Medina, alongside accompanying cultural programs during their journey.
From Medina to the World
The success of the experience is highlighted by its ability to transition from its main headquarters in Medina to international platforms; the version hosted by "ISESCO" in Rabat marked the first edition of the Prophetic biography exhibitions outside the Kingdom, before evolving into a project with a wide public presence.
While the main headquarters in Medina continues to welcome visitors to the Prophet's Mosque and guests of the Sacred House, the international experience of the exhibition expands, supported by what the Kingdom provides in terms of an environment that nurtures and empowers projects related to serving the Prophetic biography and enriching the experience of visitors to the Two Holy Mosques, making modern technology a means to introduce a global audience to the Prophetic biography and its human and civilizational values.
