ثمنت رابطة العالم الإسلامي مصادقة الولايات المتحدة الأمريكية على قرار إلغاء تصنيف الجمهورية العربية السورية من قائمة الدول الراعية للإرهاب.
وفي بيان للأمانة العامة للرابطة، هنأ الأمين العام، رئيس هيئة علماء المسلمين، الشيخ الدكتور محمد بن عبدالكريم العيسى، الجمهورية العربية السورية حكومة وشعبًا بهذا الإعلان التاريخي؛ دعمًا لاستحقاقها في المضي قدمًا نحو مستقبلها الجديد ومسيرتها الواعدة بإذن الله، مجددًا تأكيد دعم الرابطة الكامل لكل ما تتخذه الحكومة السورية من إجراءات تحقق تطلعات الشعب السوري في الأمن والازدهار.
The Muslim World League praised the United States of America for its approval of the decision to remove the Syrian Arab Republic from the list of state sponsors of terrorism.
In a statement from the League's General Secretariat, the Secretary-General, the Chairman of the Council of Muslim Scholars, Sheikh Dr. Mohammed bin Abdulkarim Al-Issa, congratulated the Syrian Arab Republic, both government and people, on this historic announcement; in support of its entitlement to move forward towards its new future and its promising journey, God willing, reiterating the League's full support for all measures taken by the Syrian government to achieve the aspirations of the Syrian people for security and prosperity.
