التقى ولي العهد رئيس مجلس الوزراء الأمير محمد بن سلمان بن عبدالعزيز، في العاصمة الفرنسية (باريس) أمس (الإثنين)، رئيس الجمهورية الفرنسية إيمانويل ماكرون، وعقد ولي العهد والرئيس الفرنسي اجتماعاً ثنائياً، استُعرضت خلاله العلاقات التاريخية والإستراتيجية بين البلدين، وسبل تطويرها في جميع المجالات، بما يخدم مصالحهما وشعبيهما الصديقين.
كما تبادل الجانبان وجهات النظر حول مستجدات الأحداث الإقليمية والدولية، وتنسيق الجهود المبذولة المشتركة بشأنها.
عقب اللقاء، رأس ولي العهد والرئيس الفرنسي الاجتماع الأول لـ«مجلس الشراكة الإستراتيجي بين حكومة المملكة وحكومة فرنسا»، جرى خلاله استعراض عدد من الموضوعات المدرجة على جدول الأعمال، بحضور أعضاء المجلس، ثم وقع ولي العهد والرئيس الفرنسي محضر اجتماع المجلس.
إثر ذلك شهد ولي العهد والرئيس الفرنسي مراسم تبادل عددٍ من الاتفاقيات ومذكرات التفاهم:
أولاً: اتفاقية تمديد وتعديل الاتفاق المبرم بين حكومة المملكة وحكومة فرنسا، حول التنمية الثقافية والبيئية والسياحية والبشرية والاقتصادية والتراثية لمحافظة العلا.
ثانياً: إعلان نوايا بين وزارة الدفاع في المملكة ووزارة القوات المسلحة والمحاربين القدامى في فرنسا، بشأن تعزيز الشراكة الدفاعية.
ثالثاً: مذكرة تفاهم لاستكشاف تطوير وجهة عالمية جديدة متعددة الاستخدامات ترتكز على الترفيه في فرنسا.
رابعاً: مذكرة تفاهم بين وزارة الاتصالات وتقنية المعلومات في المملكة، ووزارة الاقتصاد والمالية والطاقة والرقمية في فرنسا، بشأن التعاون في مجالات الذكاء الاصطناعي والتقنيات الناشئة وتنمية القدرات والمهارات.
Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman bin Abdulaziz met yesterday (Monday) in the French capital (Paris) with the President of the French Republic, Emmanuel Macron. The Crown Prince and the French President held a bilateral meeting during which they reviewed the historical and strategic relations between the two countries and ways to develop them in all fields, in a manner that serves the interests of both nations and their friendly peoples.
Both sides also exchanged views on the latest developments in regional and international events and coordinated their joint efforts regarding them.
Following the meeting, the Crown Prince and the French President chaired the first meeting of the "Strategic Partnership Council between the Government of the Kingdom and the Government of France," during which several topics on the agenda were discussed in the presence of council members. The Crown Prince and the French President then signed the minutes of the council meeting.
Subsequently, the Crown Prince and the French President witnessed the exchange of several agreements and memoranda of understanding:
First: An agreement to extend and amend the agreement concluded between the Government of the Kingdom and the Government of France regarding cultural, environmental, tourism, human, economic, and heritage development for the Al-Ula Governorate.
Second: A declaration of intent between the Ministry of Defense of the Kingdom and the Ministry of Armed Forces and Veterans in France regarding enhancing defense partnership.
Third: A memorandum of understanding to explore the development of a new global multi-use destination focused on entertainment in France.
Fourth: A memorandum of understanding between the Ministry of Communications and Information Technology in the Kingdom and the Ministry of Economy, Finance, and Digital Transition in France regarding cooperation in the fields of artificial intelligence, emerging technologies, and capacity and skills development.
