Today (Sunday), more than 4.5 million male and female students from public education schools in various regions and governorates of Saudi Arabia returned to their classrooms, except for students from the four excluded administrations: Makkah, Madinah, and the governorates of Jeddah and Taif.

Schools at all three levels for boys and girls recorded high discipline since the first day after more than 36 million textbooks were distributed before the start of the summer vacation.

The new academic year witnesses the development of 22 subjects across 5 stages and the inclusion of 50 educational units in artificial intelligence, prepared by 120 specialists.

Warning Against 10 Mistakes

The Ministry of Education warned primary and early childhood schools against 10 incorrect practices that may occur during the orientation week for new students.

In the procedural plan guide outlining the school's roles in receiving and preparing students, it indicated that the incorrect practices that may occur during the orientation week include the routine execution of the program every academic year, leniency from parents regarding their children's absence in the first week of school, excessive distribution of gifts without linking them to clear objectives for the student, the continued presence of parents with their children throughout the orientation days, some parents bringing special gifts for their children and presenting them in front of their classmates, excessive emphasis on formalities and appearances that do not serve the program's objectives, providing unhealthy meals for students, blaming, mocking, and using verbal violence against students who have adjustment issues, forcing unadjusted students to participate in activities by teachers or parents, and not studying and classifying student files by the student counselor before the orientation week, as well as the distraction of counselors during extracurricular activities instead of focusing on identifying behavioral, psychological, and social cases and documenting them.

7-Hour Workday

Directors of public education schools in various regions and governorates of Saudi Arabia activated the announcement by the Minister of Education regarding the non-requirement of the 7-hour workday through the "Hodouri" electronic application, which has accompanied the decision since its implementation began.

Schools allowed their teachers and administrative staff to register their departure from the application immediately after the school day ends according to the daily class schedule for each educational stage.

This measure contributed to significant comfort within the educational community at the start of the new year, especially for those who work in schools far from their residences.

Traffic Plan Implementation

The General Traffic Department confirmed its readiness to implement the traffic plan and organize vehicle movement in various regions of the Kingdom, coinciding with the return of students to school.

It emphasized the importance of drivers adhering to traffic regulations and safety guidelines to ensure the safety of students, while the measures aim to enhance traffic safety and facilitate movement on main roads, squares, intersections, and near educational facilities and shopping centers.
