باشرت أمانة منطقة عسير ممثلة في وكالة البنية التحتية، تنفيذ مشروع استبدال الإشارة المرورية عند تقاطع طريق أبو هريرة (طريق الأربعين)، بفتحات دوران ضمن جهودها المستمرة لتطوير شبكة الطرق ورفع كفاءة الحركة المرورية بمدينة أبها. وأوضحت الأمانة أن المشروع يهدف إلى تعزيز انسيابية الحركة المرورية والحد من الازدحامات والارتدادات المرورية في التقاطع من خلال تطبيق حلول هندسية تسهم في تحسين تدفق المركبات، وتقليل زمن الرحلات، ورفع كفاءة التشغيل بما يواكب النمو العمراني والكثافة المرورية التي تشهدها المدينة. وأكدت أن تنفيذ فتحات الدوران يستند إلى دراسات مرورية وفنية متخصصة تراعي أعلى معايير السلامة المرورية، وتسهم في تنظيم حركة المركبات، وتقليل نقاط التعارض بما ينعكس إيجاباً على مستخدمي الطريق، ويعزز كفاءة شبكة الطرق، وجودة البنية التحتية في إطار مشروعاتها الرامية إلى تطوير منظومة النقل وتحسين جودة الحياة.

The Asir Region Municipality, represented by the Infrastructure Agency, has begun implementing a project to replace the traffic signal at the Abu Huraira intersection (Forty Road) with roundabout openings as part of its ongoing efforts to develop the road network and enhance traffic flow in the city of Abha. The municipality clarified that the project aims to improve the smoothness of traffic movement and reduce congestion and traffic backflows at the intersection by applying engineering solutions that contribute to improving vehicle flow, reducing travel time, and enhancing operational efficiency in line with the urban growth and traffic density the city is experiencing. It emphasized that the implementation of the roundabout openings is based on specialized traffic and technical studies that adhere to the highest standards of traffic safety, contributing to the organization of vehicle movement and reducing conflict points, which positively impacts road users and enhances the efficiency of the road network and the quality of infrastructure as part of its projects aimed at developing the transportation system and improving the quality of life.
