تستعد شركة الطائرات المروحية، إحدى شركات صندوق الاستثمارات العامة، لتوسيع أسطولها، بعد إعلانها أمس تقديم طلب إضافي لشراء 11 مروحية متوسطة ثنائية المحرك من طراز AW139 من شركة ليوناردو، وذلك على هامش معرض فارنبورو الدولي للطيران المقام في المملكة المتحدة.
ومن المقرر تسليم المروحيات الجديدة خلال عامَي 2027 و2028م، ضمن الاتفاقية التي أبرمتها الشركة مع ليوناردو خلال معرض HAI Heli-Expo، المعروف حاليًا باسم Verticon، في عام 2024.
ويشكّل الطلب الإضافي محطة رئيسية ضمن الاتفاقية الإطارية متعددة السنوات، التي تتيح للشركة شراء ما يصل إلى 130 مروحية، كما يعزز إستراتيجيتها الرامية إلى تطوير أسطولها ورفع كفاءته التشغيلية، بما يدعم تلبية الطلب المتزايد على خدمات الطيران العمودي في المملكة.
وأكد الرئيس التنفيذي لشركة الطائرات المروحية الكابتن أرنو مارتينيز، أن توسيع الشراكة مع ليوناردو يعزز القدرات التشغيلية للشركة ويرسخ مكانتها على المستويين الإقليمي والدولي، لافتًا إلى أن أسطول AW139 الحالي جعلها من أكبر مشغلي هذا الطراز وأكثرها حضورًا على مستوى العالم.
وأضاف أن الطلب الإضافي يأتي امتدادًا لخطط الشركة التوسعية، ويسهم في تحقيق مستهدفات رؤية السعودية 2030 من خلال دعم بناء منظومة طيران متطورة، وتعزيز جاهزية الشركة لتلبية الاحتياجات المتنامية لقطاع الطيران في المملكة.
The helicopter company, one of the Public Investment Fund's companies, is preparing to expand its fleet after announcing yesterday that it has submitted an additional request to purchase 11 medium twin-engine AW139 helicopters from Leonardo, on the sidelines of the Farnborough International Airshow held in the United Kingdom.
The new helicopters are scheduled to be delivered during 2027 and 2028, as part of the agreement the company signed with Leonardo during the HAI Heli-Expo, currently known as Verticon, in 2024.
The additional order represents a key milestone within the multi-year framework agreement, which allows the company to purchase up to 130 helicopters, and enhances its strategy aimed at developing its fleet and improving its operational efficiency, thereby supporting the increasing demand for vertical aviation services in the Kingdom.
The CEO of the helicopter company, Captain Arnaud Martinez, confirmed that expanding the partnership with Leonardo enhances the company's operational capabilities and solidifies its position at both the regional and international levels, noting that the current AW139 fleet has made it one of the largest operators of this model and the most prominent worldwide.
He added that the additional order is an extension of the company's expansion plans and contributes to achieving the targets of Saudi Vision 2030 by supporting the development of an advanced aviation system and enhancing the company's readiness to meet the growing needs of the aviation sector in the Kingdom.
