سجلت السعودية إنجازًا عالميًا جديدًا في مسيرة حضورها العلمي والابتكاري، بعد أن حصد طلبة سعوديون الميدالية الفضية وحققوا المركز الأول في مسار الذكاء الاصطناعي خلال مشاركتهم في النسخة السادسة من أولمبياد غرينتش الدولية، الذي استضافته جامعة الملكة ماري في العاصمة البريطانية لندن، بمشاركة أكثر من 1,000 طالب وطالبة قدموا 538 مشروعًا وابتكارًا يمثلون 53 دولة من مختلف أنحاء العالم.
وجاء هذا الإنجاز من خلال مشاركة الطلبة تاليا زياد الغانمي، ورتيل عبدالإله الحربي، وإبراهيم عبدالرحمن الزهراني، وعمر عبدالله الغامدي، الذين مثلوا المملكة في الأولمبياد بمشاريع ابتكارية نوعية، وتمكنوا من تحقيق نتائج متميزة عكست المستوى المتقدم الذي وصل إليه الطلبة السعوديون في مجالات البحث العلمي والابتكار وتقنيات المستقبل.
ويأتي هذا النجاح ثمرة برنامج إعداد وتأهيل علمي متكامل، شمل تدريب الطلبة على منهجيات البحث العلمي، والتصميم الهندسي، وتحليل البيانات، وتطوير الحلول الابتكارية، إلى جانب تنمية مهارات العرض العلمي والدفاع عن المشاريع أمام لجان التحكيم الدولية، وفق أفضل الممارسات العالمية في رعاية الموهبة والابتكار.
ويجسد هذا الإنجاز المكانة المتنامية للمملكة العربية السعودية على خريطة الابتكار العالمية، ويعكس ما يحظى به قطاع التعليم ورعاية الموهبة من دعم مستمر، انسجامًا مع مستهدفات رؤية المملكة 2030 في بناء جيل منافس عالميًا يمتلك مهارات المستقبل، ويقود التحول نحو اقتصاد معرفي قائم على الابتكار والبحث والتقنية.
ويؤكد هذا التتويج الدولي أن الاستثمار في العقول الشابة، وتمكين الطلبة من المنافسة في المحافل العلمية العالمية، بات يثمر إنجازات وطنية ترفع اسم المملكة في مختلف الميادين الدولية، وتعزز حضورها بوصفها نموذجًا رائدًا في إعداد جيل من المبتكرين القادرين على تقديم حلول نوعية للتحديات المستقبلية.
Saudi Arabia has achieved a new global milestone in its scientific and innovative presence, as Saudi students won the silver medal and secured first place in the artificial intelligence track during their participation in the sixth edition of the International Greenwich Olympiad, hosted by Queen Mary University in London, with the participation of more than 1,000 students who presented 538 projects and innovations representing 53 countries from around the world.
This achievement came through the participation of students Talia Ziyad Al-Ghanimi, Ratel Abdulilah Al-Harbi, Ibrahim Abdulrahman Al-Zahrani, and Omar Abdullah Al-Ghamdi, who represented the Kingdom in the Olympiad with high-quality innovative projects, and they were able to achieve outstanding results that reflected the advanced level reached by Saudi students in the fields of scientific research, innovation, and future technologies.
This success is the result of a comprehensive scientific preparation and qualification program, which included training students on scientific research methodologies, engineering design, data analysis, and the development of innovative solutions, in addition to enhancing skills in scientific presentation and defending projects before international judging panels, in line with the best global practices in nurturing talent and innovation.
This achievement embodies the growing status of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia on the global innovation map and reflects the continuous support that the education sector and talent nurturing receive, in harmony with the objectives of Saudi Vision 2030 to build a globally competitive generation equipped with future skills, leading the transformation towards a knowledge-based economy driven by innovation, research, and technology.
