زار أعضاء اللجنة الدائمة للأمن الغذائي لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية مركز الإنذار المبكر بالمملكة، للاطلاع على آلية عمل المركز ودوره في رصد وتحليل المؤشرات المرتبطة بسلاسل الإمداد الغذائي، بما يسهم في تعزيز جاهزية منظومة الأمن الغذائي ومواجهة المتغيرات المختلفة.
جاء ذلك خلال الاجتماع الاستثنائي للجنة الذي عُقد في مقر الهيئة العامة للأمن الغذائي بمدينة الرياض، برئاسة المملكة العربية السعودية، إذ ناقش الاجتماع تنفيذ مبادرات إستراتيجية الأمن الغذائي الخليجي، ومؤشرات الأداء المعتمدة.
وشارك في الاجتماع أعضاء اللجنة من الأمانة العامة لمجلس التعاون لدول الخليج العربية، في إطار تعزيز التكامل والتنسيق بين دول المجلس، بما يحقق مستهدفات التنمية المستدامة ويرسخ منظومة الأمن الغذائي في المنطقة.
Members of the Permanent Committee for Food Security of the Gulf Cooperation Council visited the Early Warning Center in the Kingdom to learn about the center's operational mechanisms and its role in monitoring and analyzing indicators related to food supply chains, contributing to enhancing the readiness of the food security system and addressing various changes.
This occurred during the extraordinary meeting of the committee held at the headquarters of the Public Authority for Food Security in Riyadh, chaired by the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia, where the meeting discussed the implementation of the Gulf food security strategic initiatives and the approved performance indicators.
Committee members from the General Secretariat of the Gulf Cooperation Council participated in the meeting, aiming to enhance integration and coordination among the member states, achieving sustainable development goals and reinforcing the food security system in the region.
