The tricks of those violating the pilgrimage regulations to sneak into Mecca and the holy sites have not stopped, despite the tight security measures enforced by all security agencies around the holy capital to prevent them.

The Hajj security revealed several of these attempts, which were thwarted by the heavy security presence that intercepted and dismantled the violators.

The Hajj security forces seized a truck equipped with a secret compartment that a transporter attempted to use to smuggle (44) residents and citizens into the holy sites, and they were referred to the relevant authorities for violating the Hajj regulations and instructions.

In another attempt, a resident of Egyptian nationality was involved in transporting three others of the same nationality by hiding them inside a truck in an attempt to enter Mecca without a permit. The violators were apprehended, and the public security confirmed that the violators were stopped and legal actions were taken against them.

The Hajj security forces also announced the arrest of (8) expatriates of Turkish nationality who attempted to sneak into Mecca on foot through remote dirt areas. Additionally, 3 residents of Egyptian nationality were apprehended for violating the Hajj regulations as they tried to cross through dirt roads and valleys.

The security monitoring resulted in the arrest of residents of Senegalese nationality, along with 9 expatriates of Uzbek, Algerian, and Indonesian nationalities for violating the Hajj regulations through dirt roads and valleys, attempting to enter the holy capital and stay there without obtaining a Hajj permit. They were stopped, and legal actions were taken against them.

In another attempt, a violator prepared to transport 43 violators to the holy sites, using a large transport truck loaded with a camouflage cargo of sand, while secretly preparing compartments beneath that load to hide the violators and attempt to smuggle them into the holy sites, only to quickly fall into the security grip.

Decrease in the number of violators

The security spokesman for the Ministry of Interior, Brigadier Talal Al-Shalhoub, confirmed that as part of the campaign "No Hajj Without a Permit," 231 individuals transporting unauthorized persons for Hajj were apprehended, along with 246 fake Hajj campaigns, and legal penalties were applied against them.

He added that performance indicators of field security confirmed a decrease in the number of violators of the Hajj regulations this year, and that security personnel, with their professionalism and the resources and technologies enhanced by artificial intelligence provided to them, were able to maintain control over all entrances and passages leading to the holy capital.
