أصدرت وزارة الداخلية، اليوم، بياناً بشأن تنفيذ حُكم القتل تعزيراً بالجاني محمد محمد إسماعيل عمر -سوداني الجنسية- بعد إقدامه على تهريب الكوكايين المخدر إلى المملكة، وأوضح البيان أن الجهات الأمنية تمكنت من القبض عليه وأسفر التحقيق معه عن توجيه الاتهام إليه بارتكاب الجريمة، وبإحالته إلى المحكمة المختصة؛ صدر بحقهٌ حكم يقضي بثبوت ما نُسب إليه وقتله تعزيراً، وأصبح الحكم نهائياً بعد استئنافه ثم تأييده من المحكمة العليا، وصدر أمرٌ ملكي بإنفاذ ما تقرر شرعاً، و تم تنفيذ حكم القتل تعزيراً بالجاني محمد محمد إسماعيل عمر اليوم السبت بمنطقة مكة المكرمة.
وأكدت وزارة الداخلية للجميع حرص حكومة المملكة على حماية أمن المواطن والمقيم من آفة المخدرات، وإيقاع أشد العقوبات المقررة نظاماً بحق مهربيها ومروجيها، لما تسببه من إزهاق للأرواح البريئة، وفساد جسيم في النشء والفرد والمجتمع، وانتهاك لحقوقهم.
The Ministry of Interior issued a statement today regarding the implementation of the death penalty against the perpetrator, Mohammed Mohammed Ismail Omar - a Sudanese national - after he attempted to smuggle cocaine into the Kingdom. The statement clarified that the security authorities managed to arrest him, and the investigation led to charges being filed against him for committing the crime. He was referred to the competent court, which issued a ruling confirming the charges against him and sentencing him to death. The ruling became final after being appealed and subsequently upheld by the Supreme Court. A royal order was issued to execute what was legally determined, and the death penalty against the perpetrator, Mohammed Mohammed Ismail Omar, was carried out today, Saturday, in the Makkah region.
The Ministry of Interior affirmed the government's commitment to protecting the security of citizens and residents from the scourge of drugs, and to imposing the harshest penalties prescribed by law against traffickers and dealers, due to the loss of innocent lives and the severe corruption it causes in individuals, youth, and society, as well as the violation of their rights.
