ربما اعتادت السياسات التقليدية تصدير الأزمات، باعتبارها إحدى وسائل حلحلة إشكالات اقتصادية واجتماعية داخلية، مُرهقة للشعوب، وما من مخرج لامتصاص ردات فعلها إلا بإشعال فتيل أزمات في الإقليم، وتدجين الخطاب السياسي بالتهديد والوعيد، ولعلها من حِيَل العاجز عن تحقيق إصلاحات جذريّة لحماية المواطنين، ورفع كفاءتهم وقدراتهم، وتحسين مستوى معيشتهم.
وفي الوقت الذي يتوقع فيه الجميع توجيه السياسة الإيرانية نحو السِّلْم، وحل التوترات الإقليمية، والاستفادة الذكية من دفء العلاقات مع روسيا والصين، لإحياء مسار الحوار مع دول الخليج والغرب، وتفعيل مبادئ حُسن الجوار مع محيطها الإقليمي، والإسهام في إخماد بؤر التوتر، واقتلاع جذور الخلافات، وإبداء مزيد من النوايا الحسنة، لتعزيز العلاقات وفتح آفاق شراكات إستراتيجية مع دول الخليج، تجدّدت تصريحات تنبئ عن بقاء الحال على ما هو عليه، وكأنه لا جدوى من كافة الجهود الرامية إلى طي صفحة الماضي.
وما لين جانب الخطاب الخليجي، إزاء تصريحات الخارجية الإيرانية، إلا دليل حرص دول مجلس تعاون الخليج العربي على الحكمة في التعامل مع سياسات عاطفية عفا عليها الزمن، وخطابات لم يعد لها أي محل ولا قبول في العصر الرقمي، فالدول الوطنية تسعى جاهدةً في سبيل تحقيق المزيد من الاستقرار والأمن لشعبها، بعيداً عن افتعال أزمات، لتشتيت انتباه الداخل بالصراع الوهمي مع الخارج.
ولن يُعجز دول الخليج اتخاذها ما يلزم من إجراءات قانونية، تحد وتحجم من أوار التهديدات الإيرانية، الناجمة عن وضع داخلي متفاقم التوترات، وعلاجه ليس باستعداء الجوار، بل بالانفتاح على دول لطالما مدّت يد السلام إلى الجارة الشرقية لجزيرة العرب، واعتماد آليات تقوم على نوايا حسنة، ومبادرات إيجابية، ويكفي ما تعلمناه من دروس الجغرافيا، وعِبر التاريخ.
Perhaps traditional policies have become accustomed to exporting crises, considering it one of the means to resolve internal economic and social issues that burden the people, and there is no way to absorb their reactions except by igniting the fuse of crises in the region, and domestication of political discourse through threats and warnings. This may be one of the tricks of those unable to achieve fundamental reforms to protect citizens, enhance their competencies and capabilities, and improve their standard of living.
At a time when everyone expects Iranian policy to shift towards peace, resolve regional tensions, and smartly benefit from the warmth of relations with Russia and China to revive the dialogue with Gulf countries and the West, activate the principles of good neighborliness with its regional surroundings, contribute to extinguishing hotspots of tension, uproot the roots of disagreements, and show more goodwill to strengthen relations and open avenues for strategic partnerships with Gulf countries, renewed statements indicate that the situation will remain as it is, as if all efforts to turn the page on the past are futile.
The mildness of the Gulf discourse in response to Iranian foreign ministry statements is merely evidence of the Gulf Cooperation Council countries' commitment to wisdom in dealing with outdated emotional policies and discourses that have no place or acceptance in the digital age. National states are striving hard to achieve more stability and security for their people, far from fabricating crises to distract domestic attention with a fictitious conflict with the outside.
Gulf countries will not be hindered from taking necessary legal measures to limit and contain the flames of Iranian threats, stemming from an increasingly tense internal situation. The solution does not lie in antagonizing the neighbors but in opening up to countries that have long extended a hand of peace to the eastern neighbor of the Arabian Peninsula, relying on mechanisms based on goodwill and positive initiatives. We have learned enough from the lessons of geography and the lessons of history.
