يرعى وزير البيئة والمياه والزراعة المهندس عبدالرحمن بن عبدالمحسن الفضلي المؤتمر والمعرض الدولي للتمور بنسخته السادسة تحت شعار «عالم التمور»، الذي ينظمه المركز الوطني للنخيل والتمور في حرم جامعة الملك سعود في الرياض خلال الفترة من 25 نوفمبر إلى 4 ديسمبر 2025، بمشاركة نخبة من الخبراء والمختصين والعارضين المحليين والدوليين.
ويُعقد المؤتمر هذا العام بالشراكة العلمية مع جامعة الملك عبدالله للعلوم والتقنية (كاوست) تحت عنوان «الابتكار من أجل الاستدامة في سلسلة القيمة لقطاع النخيل والتمور»؛ لإبراز الدور المحوري للقطاع في تحقيق الاستدامة وتعزيز الأمن الغذائي، عبر حلقات نقاش وجلسات علمية لمناقشة الابتكار في القطاع واستعراض الأبحاث الرائدة والمبادرات المُرشَّحة لجائزة المركز الوطني للنخيل والتمور، ودعم تطبيق مبادئ الاقتصاد الدائري في عمليات زراعة وتصنيع التمور.
ويتناول المؤتمر التصدي للتحديات المرتبطة بآفات وأمراض النخيل، وتسليط الضوء على تقنيات الزراعة الذكية وأتمتة عمليات ما بعد الحصاد؛ بهدف رفع كفاءة الإنتاج وتحسين الجودة.
ويستقبل معرض «عالم التمور» الزوار مجاناً من الساعة 4 مساءً حتى 11 مساءً، ويضم مناطق وتجارب وفعاليات متنوعة تشمل أجنحة لمختلف مناطق المملكة التي تبرز هوية كل منطقة وتمورها، ومنطقة العارضين المُستقلين التي تمكّن الشركات ورواد الأعمال والمزارعين من عرض منتجاتهم التحويلية من التمور، ومنطقة الطهي الحي والتذوق بإشراف طهاة محليين وعالميين، إضافة إلى منطقة المطاعم والمقاهي لتجارب أطباق محلية وعالمية من التمور السعودية، ومنطقة الحرف اليدوية لإبراز التراث المرتبط بالنخيل والتمور، ومتحف إرث النخيل الذي يستعرض تطور زراعة النخيل وصناعة التمور، كما يُعد المعرض منصة محلية وعالمية تُعزز مكانة المملكة بصفتها مركزاً رئيسياً لإنتاج وتصدير التمور عالمياً.
يُذكر أنه خلال عام 2024 احتلت المملكة المركز الأول في صادرات التمور عالمياً، حيث بلغت قيمة صادراتها 1.695 مليار ريال، بحجم إنتاج تجاوز 1.9 مليون طن في العام نفسه. وحققت التمور السعودية انتشاراً ملحوظاً في الأسواق العالمية، حيث وصلت صادراتها إلى 133 دولة حول العالم.
The Minister of Environment, Water, and Agriculture, Engineer Abdulrahman bin Abdulmohsen Al-Fadli, sponsors the sixth edition of the International Date Palm Conference and Exhibition under the slogan "World of Dates," organized by the National Center for Palm and Dates at King Saud University in Riyadh from November 25 to December 4, 2025, with the participation of a select group of experts, specialists, and local and international exhibitors.
This year's conference is held in scientific partnership with King Abdullah University of Science and Technology (KAUST) under the title "Innovation for Sustainability in the Value Chain of the Palm and Dates Sector"; to highlight the pivotal role of the sector in achieving sustainability and enhancing food security, through discussion panels and scientific sessions to discuss innovation in the sector and showcase leading research and initiatives nominated for the National Center for Palm and Dates Award, as well as support the application of circular economy principles in the cultivation and processing of dates.
The conference addresses the challenges related to pests and diseases of palm trees, highlighting smart agriculture techniques and automating post-harvest processes; aiming to increase production efficiency and improve quality.
The "World of Dates" exhibition welcomes visitors for free from 4 PM to 11 PM, featuring diverse areas, experiences, and activities including pavilions representing different regions of the Kingdom that showcase the identity of each region and its dates, an independent exhibitors' area that enables companies, entrepreneurs, and farmers to display their date-derived products, a live cooking and tasting area supervised by local and international chefs, in addition to a restaurants and cafes area offering local and international dishes made from Saudi dates, a handicrafts area to highlight the heritage associated with palms and dates, and a Palm Heritage Museum that showcases the evolution of palm cultivation and date production. The exhibition also serves as a local and global platform that enhances the Kingdom's position as a major center for the production and export of dates worldwide.
It is noteworthy that in 2024, the Kingdom ranked first in global date exports, with a value of 1.695 billion riyals and a production volume exceeding 1.9 million tons in the same year. Saudi dates have achieved significant presence in global markets, with exports reaching 133 countries around the world.
