The military operations continue as part of "Yemen Dawn," carried out by the Yemeni armed forces against the Houthi militias on several fronts, with intensified air and ground strikes in the Marib and Taiz governorates, targeting the militia's fortifications, military sites, and weapon depots, supported by warplanes.
The Yemeni armed forces announced today (Saturday) the continuation of their operations on the Marib fronts, confirming that they have inflicted casualties on the Houthis in terms of lives and equipment, and destroyed military sites, fortifications, and weapon depots during airstrikes targeting the group's capabilities and positions.
Field Advancement in Marib
The Marib fronts have witnessed new field developments, as the government forces announced the expansion of their advance and control over important sites and heights, while military engineering units continue to clear the roads and recovered sites from mines and explosive devices and secure the lines of advance.
The Yemeni army announced the execution of 1,292 targeting operations within 24 hours, according to a statement published yesterday (Friday), which included defensive sites, fortifications, trenches, fire sources, gatherings, vehicles, and Houthi supply means. The military spokesperson stated that the operations contributed to expanding the field breach on the eastern front of Marib, while continuing pressure on the southern and western fronts.
Focused Strikes in Taiz
In Taiz, government forces continue to target Houthi reinforcements and their combat sites, coinciding with thwarting Houthi attacks on several fronts, including the eastern and western sectors of the Al-Shaqab front south of the city, according to the media center of the Yemeni armed forces. These operations come as part of efforts to weaken the combat capabilities of the Houthis, disrupt their movements and supplies, and secure the sites to which government forces advance.
The Coalition Thwarts Arms Smuggling
In parallel with the ground and air operations, the Coalition to Support Legitimacy announced the thwarting of attempts to smuggle weapons to the Houthis via the sea towards the Al-Hudaydah governorate in western Yemen.
The spokesperson for the coalition, Major General Turki Al-Maliki, published footage that he claimed documented arms smuggling operations and their landing on the shores and transportation by land means, in addition to targeting transport means and shipments related to these activities. The coalition indicated that it continues to dismantle supply networks, weapon depots, and rocket launch platforms belonging to the terrorist militia.
The developments reflect the simultaneous military pressure on the combat fronts with efforts aimed at cutting off the Houthis' supply lines, while Yemeni forces continue their operations as part of "Yemen Dawn," which the Yemeni leadership announced with the aim of restoring state institutions and asserting its authority over areas controlled by the Houthis.
