في أكبر جنازة في تاريخ غزة، شيع آلاف الفلسطينيين في مدينة غزة، اليوم (الثلاثاء)، 112 ضحية من عائلة أبو شريعة الحساينة بعد انتشال رفاتهم من تحت الأنقاض، قتلتهم إسرائيل في نوفمبر عام 2023.
وتمكن الدفاع المدني برفقة عشرات المتطوعين هذا الأسبوع من استكمال جهوده في انتشال بقايا الرفات، إذ كانت العديد من الجثث تبخرت بفعل قوة المتفجرات في الضربة الجوية.
وبحسب العائلة ووزارة الصحة، فإن الغارة الإسرائيلية التي استهدفت بناية تضم مئات النازحين في حي الصبرة غربي مدينة غزة، أودت بحياة 308 أشخاص وجميعهم من أبناء عشيرة أبو شريعة والحساينة، إذ لا يزال البحث تحت الأنقاض عن بقايا جثث أخرى.
واستخدم جيش الاحتلال الإسرائيلي نحو 10 صواريخ ثقيلة في استهداف البناية، التي لجأ إليها مئات من أفراد العائلة للاحتماء، والتي طُمرت تحت مستوى الأرض.
وقال عبدالله أبو شريعة: اليوم ندفن شهداء واحدة من أسوأ وأقسى مجازر الاحتلال في حرب الإبادة والاجتثاث، نجدد الحزن لكن كنا مصرين على انتشال بقايا الرفات إكراماً للشهداء بدفنهم في مقبرة شهداء غزة، في حي الزيتون، في البلدة القديمة وسط مدينة غزة. ودعا إلى محاسبة القتلة وعلى رأسهم رئيس الوزراء بنيامين نتنياهو وقادة جيشه.
ووضعت عشرات الجماجم وبقايا عظام الضحايا في أكياس بلاستيكية ومن القماش، فيما لُفت جثث الأطفال والنساء في أكفان بيضاء، وأديت صلاة الجنازة قبل المسير نحو المقبرة ومواراتهم الثرى في قبر جماعي.
من جانبه، أكد المتحدث باسم الدفاع المدني في غزة محمود بصل أن آلاف الجثث لا تزال تحت الأنقاض، مشيراً إلى أن الدفاع المدني لا يمتلك أدوات ومعدات لإزالة الركام وانتشال الجثث. وعبر عن حزنه الشديد لأن طواقمه تعمل باستخدام معدات وأدوات بدائية وبسيطة في عمليات البحث وانتشال الجثث.
يذكر أنه منذ بداية الهدنة الهشة، قتلت قوات الاحتلال أكثر من 1250 فلسطينياً.
In the largest funeral in the history of Gaza, thousands of Palestinians in Gaza City today (Tuesday) mourned 112 victims from the Abu Shari'a Al-Husayna family after their remains were retrieved from under the rubble, killed by Israel in November 2023.
The Civil Defense, along with dozens of volunteers, managed this week to complete its efforts in retrieving the remains, as many bodies had evaporated due to the force of the explosives in the airstrike.
According to the family and the Ministry of Health, the Israeli airstrike that targeted a building housing hundreds of displaced persons in the Al-Sabra neighborhood west of Gaza City claimed the lives of 308 people, all of whom were from the Abu Shari'a and Al-Husayna clan, as the search for other remains continues under the rubble.
The Israeli occupation army used about 10 heavy missiles to target the building, which hundreds of family members had sought refuge in, and which was buried below ground level.
Abdullah Abu Shari'a stated: "Today we bury the martyrs of one of the worst and harshest massacres of the occupation in the war of extermination and uprooting. We renew our sorrow, but we were determined to retrieve the remains in honor of the martyrs by burying them in the Martyrs' Cemetery in Gaza, in the Al-Zeitoun neighborhood, in the old town of Gaza City." He called for accountability for the killers, led by Prime Minister Benjamin Netanyahu and the leaders of his army.
Dozens of skulls and remains of the victims were placed in plastic and cloth bags, while the bodies of children and women were wrapped in white shrouds, and funeral prayers were performed before proceeding to the cemetery to lay them to rest in a mass grave.
For his part, Mahmoud Basal, the spokesperson for the Civil Defense in Gaza, confirmed that thousands of bodies remain under the rubble, noting that the Civil Defense lacks the tools and equipment to remove the debris and retrieve the bodies. He expressed his deep sorrow that his teams are working with primitive and simple tools in the search and retrieval operations.
It is worth mentioning that since the beginning of the fragile truce, the occupation forces have killed more than 1,250 Palestinians.
