في عالم الأزياء يُستخدم مصطلحا «فنتج» و«انتيك» للإشارة إلى الملابس والإكسسوارات القديمة، لكن بينهما فرق واضح من حيث العمر والقيمة والوظيفة. يُطلق مصطلح الفنتج على القطع الأزيائية التي تعود إلى عقود سابقة غالباً لا تتجاوز 100 عام، وتتميز بأنها تعكس أسلوب حقبة معينة من الموضة مثل التسعينات أو السبعينات، وتكون قابلة للارتداء والاستخدام في الحياة اليومية مع الحفاظ على طابعها الأصلي أو إعادة تنسيقها بأسلوب عصري. أما الانتيك فيشير إلى القطع الأقدم بكثير والتي يتجاوز عمرها 100 عام، وغالباً ما تكون ذات قيمة تاريخية أو فنية عالية، ونادراً ما تُستخدم في الإطلالات اليومية بسبب حساسيتها وقيمتها العالية، بل تُعامل كقطع مقتنية أو تراثية أكثر من كونها جزءاً من الموضة العملية.
في سياق الأزياء الحديثة، يُنظر إلى الفنتج كجزء من أسلوب الموضة المستدامة وإعادة إحياء الاتجاهات القديمة، إذ يتم دمجه مع قطع معاصرة لإنتاج إطلالات مبتكرة تجمع بين الماضي والحاضر. بينما يُعتبر الانتيك أقرب إلى القطع التراثية الفريدة التي تعكس تاريخ الحِرفية في صناعة الملابس أو الإكسسوارات، وغالباً ما يُحافظ عليه كقطعة نادرة تُعرض أو تُقتنى لأهميتها التاريخية أكثر من استخدامها الجمالي اليومي.
