أنهت أسعار النفط تعاملات الأسبوع على ارتفاع، مسجلة مكاسب للأسبوع الثاني على التوالي، مع استمرار حالة الضبابية بشأن مستقبل حركة الملاحة وإعادة فتح مضيق هرمز، في ظل تصاعد التهديدات المتبادلة بين الولايات المتحدة وإيران.
وارتفعت العقود الآجلة لخام برنت عند تسوية تعاملات (الجمعة)، لتسجل 94.39 دولار للبرميل، بزيادة قدرها 61 سنتاً أو 0.65%، فيما عزز الخام مكاسبه الأسبوعية إلى 6.63%.
كما صعدت العقود الآجلة لخام غرب تكساس الوسيط «نايمكس» تسليم أكتوبر إلى 87.06 دولار للبرميل، مرتفعة 23 سنتاً أو 0.26%، ليسجل الخام مكاسب أسبوعية بلغت 5.65%.
وتأتي مكاسب النفط في وقت تترقب فيه الأسواق تطورات الوضع في مضيق هرمز، وسط تهديد الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب بفرض عقوبات اقتصادية على إيران وشركائها التجاريين، ما زاد من مخاوف المستثمرين بشأن إمدادات الطاقة وحركة شحن النفط عبر أحد أهم الممرات المائية العالمية.
Oil prices ended the week on a rise, recording gains for the second consecutive week, amid ongoing uncertainty regarding the future of shipping traffic and the reopening of the Strait of Hormuz, in light of escalating mutual threats between the United States and Iran.
Brent crude futures rose at the close of trading on Friday, reaching $94.39 per barrel, an increase of 61 cents or 0.65%, while the crude boosted its weekly gains to 6.63%.
West Texas Intermediate (WTI) futures for October delivery also climbed to $87.06 per barrel, up 23 cents or 0.26%, marking weekly gains of 5.65%.
The gains in oil come at a time when markets are awaiting developments in the Strait of Hormuz, amid President Donald Trump's threat to impose economic sanctions on Iran and its trading partners, which has heightened investors' concerns about energy supplies and oil shipping through one of the world's most crucial waterways.
