أكد وزير الصناعة والثروة المعدنية السعودي بندر الخريف أن تطوير قطاع التعدين الحديث لا يمكن أن يتحقق دون تكامل جهود الحكومات والشركات والمؤسسات العلمية والمالية، مشيراً إلى أن المملكة جعلت التعاون الدولي أحد المحاور الرئيسية في استراتيجيتها لتنمية قطاع المعادن.
وقال خلال مشاركته في جلسة «المعادن النادرة والاستراتيجية: السيادة والتعاون الدولي في مجال المعادن الأرضية النادرة والمعادن الحرجة» ضمن منتدى سانت بطرسبرغ الاقتصادي الدولي 2026، إن المملكة أسست «منتدى المعادن المستقبلية» ليكون منصة دولية تجمع الدول والشركات الصناعية الكبرى والمؤسسات المالية والمجتمع العلمي لتعزيز الشراكات وتطوير القطاع، وفقاً لـ«ورد لاين فورم» الروسية.
وأضاف أن تنمية صناعة التعدين تتطلب استثمارات طويلة الأجل، وتقنيات متقدمة، وبرامج لإعداد الكفاءات المتخصصة، مؤكداً أن الهدف لا يقتصر على تأمين الوصول إلى الموارد المعدنية، بل يمتد إلى بناء سلاسل إمداد متكاملة ومنظومة صناعية مستدامة.
وشهدت الجلسة مشاركة النائب الأول لرئيس الوزراء الروسي دينيس مانتوروف، إلى جانب عدد من الوزراء والمسؤولين من السعودية وروسيا وكازاخستان وسيراليون، إذ ناقش المشاركون تطوير سلاسل توريد المواد الخام الحرجة، وإنشاء قدرات إنتاجية جديدة، وآفاق التعاون الصناعي الدولي.
وأكد مانتوروف أن المعادن النادرة والأرضية النادرة أصبحت عنصراً أساسياً في التطور التكنولوجي العالمي، نظراً لاستخداماتها الواسعة في قطاعات الطاقة والإلكترونيات والصناعات الهندسية، مشيراً إلى امتلاك روسيا قاعدة موارد كبيرة وخبرات علمية وصناعية تؤهلها لبناء سلسلة إنتاج متكاملة من التعدين وحتى الصناعات التحويلية المتقدمة.
وأضاف أن روسيا تمتلك منظومة متكاملة من التقنيات في هذا المجال، مؤكداً انفتاحها على الحوار مع الشركاء الدوليين واستعدادها للتعاون في الاستثمارات والمشروعات الصناعية المشتركة.
ويُعد التعاون في مجال المعادن الحرجة أحد المسارات الواعدة في الحوار الصناعي بين السعودية وروسيا، فيما تشارك المملكة بصفة «ضيف الشرف» في منتدى سانت بطرسبرغ الاقتصادي الدولي لعام 2026، ما يفتح آفاقاً إضافية لتعزيز التعاون التقني والاستثماري بين البلدين.
The Saudi Minister of Industry and Mineral Resources, Bandar Al-Khorayef, confirmed that the development of the modern mining sector cannot be achieved without the integration of efforts from governments, companies, scientific institutions, and financial entities, noting that the Kingdom has made international cooperation one of the main pillars of its strategy for mineral sector development.
During his participation in the session titled "Rare Minerals and Strategy: Sovereignty and International Cooperation in the Field of Rare Earth Minerals and Critical Minerals" at the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026, he stated that the Kingdom has established the "Future Minerals Forum" to serve as an international platform that brings together countries, major industrial companies, financial institutions, and the scientific community to enhance partnerships and develop the sector, according to the Russian "Word Line Forum."
He added that the development of the mining industry requires long-term investments, advanced technologies, and programs for preparing specialized competencies, emphasizing that the goal is not limited to securing access to mineral resources but extends to building integrated supply chains and a sustainable industrial system.
The session witnessed the participation of the First Deputy Prime Minister of Russia, Denis Manturov, along with several ministers and officials from Saudi Arabia, Russia, Kazakhstan, and Sierra Leone, where participants discussed the development of supply chains for critical raw materials, the establishment of new production capacities, and the prospects for international industrial cooperation.
Manturov emphasized that rare and critical minerals have become essential elements in global technological development, due to their wide applications in the energy, electronics, and engineering sectors, noting that Russia possesses a large resource base and scientific and industrial expertise that qualifies it to build an integrated production chain from mining to advanced manufacturing industries.
He added that Russia has an integrated system of technologies in this field, affirming its openness to dialogue with international partners and its readiness to cooperate in investments and joint industrial projects.
Cooperation in the field of critical minerals is considered one of the promising paths in industrial dialogue between Saudi Arabia and Russia, while the Kingdom participates as a "guest of honor" in the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum 2026, which opens additional horizons for enhancing technical and investment cooperation between the two countries.
