ارتفعت مخزونات النفط التجارية في الولايات المتحدة خلال الأسبوع المنتهي في 13 مارس الجاري، بحسب تقديرات معهد البترول الأمريكي، لكن مخزونات المنتجات المكررة تراجعت في الفترة ذاتها.
وقال المعهد في تقرير نُشر أخيراً:"إن المخزون التجاري من النفط الخام زاد بمقدار 6.56 مليون برميل خلال الأسبوع الماضي".
تراجع البنزين
وفي المقابل، تراجع مخزون البنزين 4.56 مليون برميل، وانخفضت مخزونات المقطرات -بما يشمل الديزل وزيت التدفئة- بمقدار 1.39 مليون برميل.
وتترقب الأسواق صدور البيانات الرسمية عن إدارة معلومات الطاقة اليوم، وسط توقعات بأن تشهد انخفاضاً طفيفاً قدره 49 ألف برميل.
وعند تسوية التعاملات، زادت العقود الآجلة لخام برنت القياسي تسليم مايو بنسبة 3.20% أو 3.21 دولار إلى 103.42 دولار للبرميل.
كما ارتفعت العقود الآجلة لخام نايمكس الأمريكي تسليم أبريل بنسبة 2.90% أو ما يعادل 2.71 دولار إلى 96.21 دولار للبرميل.
Commercial oil inventories in the United States increased during the week ending March 13, according to estimates from the American Petroleum Institute, but refined product inventories declined during the same period.
The institute stated in a recently published report: "Commercial crude oil inventories increased by 6.56 million barrels during the past week."
Gasoline Decline
In contrast, gasoline inventories fell by 4.56 million barrels, and distillate inventories - including diesel and heating oil - decreased by 1.39 million barrels.
The markets are awaiting the official data from the Energy Information Administration today, amid expectations of a slight decline of 49,000 barrels.
Upon settling trades, Brent crude futures for May delivery rose by 3.20% or $3.21 to $103.42 per barrel.
Similarly, West Texas Intermediate (WTI) crude futures for April delivery increased by 2.90% or $2.71 to $96.21 per barrel.
