ومن المقرر إغلاق التداولات في بورصة طوكيو يومي الخميس والجمعة القادمين؛ بمناسبة عطلة رأس السنة الجديدة، على أن تستأنف الإثنين القادم، أما في كوريا الجنوبية، فمن المقرر إغلاق التداولات غداً.
وفي الصين، تراجع مؤشر هانغ سينغ بنسبة 0.5% في بداية التداولات ليصل إلى 25715.16 نقطة، فيما ارتفع مؤشر شنغهاي المركب بنسبة أقل من 0.1% ليصل إلى 3966.39 نقطة.
وزاد مؤشر تايكس التايواني بنسبة 0.7% ليصل إلى 28893.59 نقطة. وتراجع مؤشر ستاندرد آند بورز/إيه إس إكس 200 الأسترالي بنسبة 0.1% ليصل إلى 8706.40 نقطة.
تداول ضعيف
ستواصل بورصة «وول ستريت» الأمريكية التداولات، اليوم، لكنها ستغلق غداً. وكان حجم التداولات ضعيفاً أمس.
وتراجع مؤشر ستاندرد آند بورز 500 بواقع 9.50 نقطة، أو 0.1%، ليصل إلى 6894.24 نقطة. ورغم تسجيله ثلاثة أيام متتالية من الخسائر الطفيفة، فإن المؤشر لا يزال في طريقه لتحقيق مكاسب سنوية تتجاوز 17%.
وانخفض مؤشر داو جونز الصناعي بواقع 94.87 نقطة، أو 0.2%، ليصل إلى 48367.06 نقطة، كما تراجع مؤشر ناسداك المركب بواقع 55.27 نقطة، أو 0.2%، ليصل إلى 23419.08 نقطة.
The major Asian stock markets, including those in Japan and South Korea, closed today in observance of the year-end and New Year holiday. The exchanges that continued trading showed mixed performance.
Trading on the Tokyo Stock Exchange is scheduled to close on Thursday and Friday for the New Year holiday, resuming next Monday. In South Korea, trading is set to close tomorrow.
In China, the Hang Seng Index fell by 0.5% at the start of trading, reaching 25,715.16 points, while the Shanghai Composite Index rose by less than 0.1%, reaching 3,966.39 points.
The Taiwan Weighted Index increased by 0.7%, reaching 28,893.59 points. The Australian Standard & Poor's/ASX 200 Index declined by 0.1%, reaching 8,706.40 points.
Weak Trading
The American "Wall Street" stock market will continue trading today, but it will close tomorrow. Trading volume was weak yesterday.
The Standard & Poor's 500 Index fell by 9.50 points, or 0.1%, reaching 6,894.24 points. Despite recording three consecutive days of slight losses, the index is still on track to achieve annual gains exceeding 17%.
The Dow Jones Industrial Average decreased by 94.87 points, or 0.2%, reaching 48,367.06 points, while the Nasdaq Composite Index dropped by 55.27 points, or 0.2%, reaching 23,419.08 points.
