أعلن البيت الأبيض اليوم (الجمعة) أن أمريكا لا يمكنها قبول العلاقات التجارية أحادية الجانب.
ووقّع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب مساء أمس (الخميس) أمرا تنفيذيا يحدد قيمة الرسوم الجمركية الجديدة التي ستطال منتجات عشرات الدول، مثيراً بلبلة في النظام الاقتصادي العالمي بهذه الحواجز التجارية التي ستكون لها الوطأة الأشد على كندا وسويسرا.
وبعدما كانت تخشى نسباً أعلى، تلقت بعض الدول الآسيوية بارتياح الجمعة هذه الرسوم الجديدة التي تضاف إلى النسب المفروضة عليها قبل عودة ترمب إلى البيت الأبيض، وفقاً لوكالة فرانس برس (أ ف ب).
وحدد البيت الأبيض الطامح إلى «إعادة هيكلة التجارة العالمية لما يعود بالنفع على العمال الأمريكيين» مهلة لبضعة أيام قبل أن تدخل الرسوم الجديدة على الواردات حيز التنفيذ في السابع من أغسطس الجاري، وليس في الأول منه كما كان متوقعاً بالأساس، للسماح للجمارك بتنظيم عمليات الجباية، على ما أوضح مسؤول في البيت الأبيض للصحافة.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order last night (Thursday) that specifies the value of new tariffs that will affect products from dozens of countries, causing turmoil in the global economic system with these trade barriers that will have the greatest impact on Canada and Switzerland.
After fearing higher rates, some Asian countries welcomed these new tariffs on Friday, which are added to the rates imposed on them before Trump returned to the White House, according to Agence France-Presse (AFP).
The White House, aiming to "restructure global trade for the benefit of American workers," set a deadline of a few days before the new import tariffs take effect on August 7, rather than on the 1st as initially expected, to allow customs to organize collection processes, as a White House official explained to the press.
