وقّع الرئيس الأمريكي دونالد ترمب أمرًا تنفيذيًا، في وقت مبكر اليوم (الجمعة)، والذي يعدل بموجبه التعريفات الجمركية المتبادلة المفروضة على عشرات الدول.
وقال البيت الأبيض في بيان، إن جميع السلع التي يُعتقد أنها أُعيد شحنها لتجنب الرسوم الجمركية المطبقة، ستخضع لتعريفة جمركية إضافية بنسبة 40%.
وشمل القرار عشرات الدول بما في ذلك بعض الدول التي توصلت إلى اتفاق تجاري مع الولايات المتحدة، مثل اليابان والاتحاد الأوروبي والمملكة المتحدة.
ومن بين الدول التي تواجه أعلى تعريفات جمركية «تبادلية»، تُعدّ سورية صاحبة أعلى معدل بنسبة 41%، كما ستخضع صادرات لاوس وميانمار إلى الولايات المتحدة لتعريفات جمركية بنسبة 40%.
وستُفرض تعريفات جمركية بنسبة 39% و30% على سويسرا وجنوب إفريقيا على التوالي.
وبالنسبة لبعض الدول الآسيوية التي لم تتوصل إلى اتفاقية تجارية مع الولايات المتحدة، قدّم الأمر التنفيذي الأخير بعض التسهيلات من خلال تخفيض الرسوم الجمركية.
وستخفض معدلات التعريفة الجمركية الجديدة على الواردات من تايلند إلى 19% من 36%، وعلى السلع الماليزية إلى 19% من 24%.
وأشار الأمر إلى أن الدول غير المدرجة به ستُفرض عليها رسوم جمركية إضافية بنسبة 10%، فيما سيخضع الشركاء التجاريون الذين توصلوا أو على وشك التوصل إلى اتفاقيات تجارية وأمنية مع أمريكا للرسوم الجمركية المُعدّلة حتى إبرام تلك الاتفاقيات.
وفي أمر منفصل، رفع ترمب الرسوم الجمركية على الصادرات الكندية إلى 35% من 25%، بدءًا من اليوم (الجمعة)، باستثناء السلع المشمولة باتفاقية التجارة الحرة، وذلك بعدما وقع في وقت سابق أمرًا يرفع الرسوم الجمركية على البرازيل إلى 50% من 10%.

President Donald Trump signed an executive order early today (Friday) that modifies the reciprocal tariffs imposed on dozens of countries.
The White House stated in a release that all goods believed to have been re-shipped to avoid the applicable tariffs will be subject to an additional tariff of 40%.
The decision included dozens of countries, including some that have reached trade agreements with the United States, such as Japan, the European Union, and the United Kingdom.
Among the countries facing the highest "reciprocal" tariffs, Syria has the highest rate at 41%, while exports from Laos and Myanmar to the United States will be subject to tariffs of 40%.
Tariffs of 39% and 30% will be imposed on Switzerland and South Africa, respectively.
For some Asian countries that have not reached a trade agreement with the United States, the recent executive order provided some relief by reducing tariffs.
The new tariff rates on imports from Thailand will be reduced to 19% from 36%, and on Malaysian goods to 19% from 24%.
The order indicated that countries not listed will be subject to an additional 10% tariff, while trade partners that have reached or are close to reaching trade and security agreements with the U.S. will be subject to the adjusted tariffs until those agreements are finalized.
In a separate order, Trump raised tariffs on Canadian exports to 35% from 25%, effective today (Friday), except for goods covered by the free trade agreement, after previously signing an order that raises tariffs on Brazil to 50% from 10%.
