أظهرت نتائج مسح لاتحاد متاجر التجزئة في ألمانيا تراجعاً كبيراً لثقة المستهلكين في البلاد، إذ قال الاتحاد الذي يمثل المتاجر الصغيرة اليوم: «لا يبدو أن هناك تعافياً للاستهلاك الخاص في الأفق».
وأشار الاتحاد إلى أن مزاج المستهلكين تراجع بوضوح. وقال: «المستهلكون لا يعتقدون أن الموقف الاقتصادي عموماً سيتحسن بسرعة».
ويعتمد تقييم اتحاد متاجر التجزئة الألماني على مسح شمل 1,600 مستهلكاً.
وأضاف الاتحاد في تقريره: «حتى الآن لم تنجح الحكومة الاتحادية في ترجمة كلماتها إلى أفعال، وتعزيز ثقة المستهلكين في عودة النمو الاقتصادي عموماً».
وارتفع معدل التضخم في ألمانيا أكثر من المتوقع في أغسطس مما أضاف إلى العوامل السلبية في يوم شهد ارتفاع معدل البطالة ليتجاوز 3 ملايين للمرة الأولى منذ عقد.
وأظهرت البيانات الأولية الصادرة عن مكتب الإحصاء الاتحادي الألماني ارتفاع معدل التضخم إلى 2.1%.
وتأتي البيانات الألمانية قبيل صدور بيانات التضخم في منطقة اليورو، ومن المتوقع أن يظل التضخم في منطقة اليورو مستقراً عند 2% في أغسطس الماضي.

The results of a survey by the German Retail Federation showed a significant decline in consumer confidence in the country, as the federation representing small stores stated today: "There does not seem to be a recovery in private consumption on the horizon."
The federation pointed out that consumer sentiment has clearly deteriorated. It said: "Consumers do not believe that the economic situation will improve quickly overall."
The assessment by the German Retail Federation is based on a survey that included 1,600 consumers.
The federation added in its report: "So far, the federal government has not succeeded in translating its words into actions, and in boosting consumer confidence in the return of economic growth overall."
The inflation rate in Germany rose more than expected in August, adding to the negative factors on a day that saw the unemployment rate exceed 3 million for the first time in a decade.
Preliminary data from the Federal Statistical Office of Germany showed an increase in the inflation rate to 2.1%.
The German data comes ahead of the release of inflation data in the Eurozone, where inflation is expected to remain stable at 2% in August.
