عاد الجدل حول أجور الفنانين المصريين والمبلغ الذي يحتاجه النجوم لمعيشتهم خلال عام إلى الواجهة من جديد، وذلك بعدما أثار الفنان المصري ياسر جلال النقاش حول ضرورة تفعيل قانون حق الأداء العلني.
وأوضح جلال أنه يقدم عملاً واحداً في العام ويتقاضى أجراً يزيد قليلاً عن 197 ألف دولار (10 ملايين جنيه مصري)، نافياً ما تردد عن تقاضيه 786 ألف دولار (40 مليون جنيه).

وفي هذا السياق، تلقى الفنان المصري أحمد السقا سؤالاً خلال مداخلة هاتفية في برنامج «90 دقيقة» مع الإعلامية بسمة وهبة حول مدى كفاية 197 ألف دولار (10 ملايين) للفنان للعيش خلال عام كامل. أجاب السقا بأن الأمر يختلف من فنان لآخر ويعتمد على المسؤوليات التي يواجهها الفنان، في ظل قانون الضرائب الذي يخضع له الجميع.
شريحة كبيرة
وتم وضع الفنانين في فئة «كبار الممولين» ضمن الخاضعين لهذا القانون، مما يعني تواجدهم في شريحة كبيرة. وبعد اقتطاع المبلغ الذي تحصله الدولة، تبقى مسؤوليات المنزل، بما في ذلك أجور العاملين والضرائب الخاصة بهم.
في النهاية، أجاب السقا عن السؤال قائلاً «الله أعلم»، لكنه أضاف قائلاً: «لو أعيش وحدي، لو سيكفوني».
The debate about the salaries of Egyptian artists and the amount needed by stars to sustain their living throughout the year has resurfaced, following the discussion initiated by Egyptian artist Yasser Jalal regarding the necessity of activating the public performance rights law.
Jalal clarified that he performs only one work a year and receives a salary slightly exceeding $197,000 (10 million Egyptian pounds), denying rumors that he earns $786,000 (40 million pounds).

In this context, Egyptian artist Ahmed El Sakka was asked during a phone call on the program "90 Minutes" with media personality Basma Wahba about whether $197,000 (10 million) is sufficient for an artist to live on for an entire year. El Sakka responded that it varies from one artist to another and depends on the responsibilities faced by the artist, especially under the tax law that applies to everyone.
A large segment
Artists have been classified as "major taxpayers" under this law, which means they belong to a large segment. After deducting the amount collected by the state, there remain household responsibilities, including the wages of workers and their respective taxes.
In the end, El Sakka answered the question by saying, "God knows," but he added, "If I live alone, it might be enough for me."
