زار وزير الثقافة السوري الدكتور محمد ياسين صالح معرض الرياض الدولي للكتاب 2025، الذي تنظمه هيئة الأدب والنشر والترجمة تحت شعار «الرياض تقرأ» في حرم جامعة الأميرة نورة بنت عبدالرحمن، وتجول في أرجاء المعرض واطلع على أجنحة عدد من دور النشر، إلى جانب الأجنحة الثقافية للدول المشاركة.
وشملت جولة الوزير جناح هيئة الأدب والنشر والترجمة، وجناح جمهورية أوزبكستان ضيف شرف المعرض لهذا العام، وعددا من الأركان التي تمثل مبادرات ثقافية سعودية متنوعة.
واستمع خلال الجولة إلى شرح حول البرامج والفعاليات المصاحبة، وما يقدمه المعرض من مساحات تفاعلية تجمع القراء والمبدعين ودور النشر تحت مظلة ثقافية واحدة.
وأعرب الوزير السوري محمد ياسين صالح عن إعجابه بما شاهده من تنظيم متميز وإقبال لافت من الزوار، مشيدا بالدور الريادي الذي تؤديه المملكة في دعم الثقافة والكتاب عربيا.
وقال: «ما رأيته في معرض الرياض الدولي للكتاب يعكس حيوية المشهد الثقافي السعودي وانفتاحه على العالم، وهذا المعرض ملتقى يعبر عن وعي متجدد بأهمية الثقافة في بناء الإنسان وتعزيز التواصل الحضاري».
واختتم الوزير زيارته بالتأكيد على أهمية التعاون الثقافي بين سورية والمملكة، مشيرا إلى أن الحراك الثقافي الذي تشهده الرياض يمثل نموذجا ملهما للتكامل العربي في مجالات الأدب والفكر والنشر.
The Syrian Minister of Culture, Dr. Mohammed Yassin Saleh, visited the Riyadh International Book Fair 2025, organized by the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission under the slogan "Riyadh Reads" at the Princess Nourah bint Abdulrahman University campus. He toured the exhibition and explored the booths of several publishing houses, alongside the cultural pavilions of the participating countries.
The minister's tour included the booth of the Literature, Publishing, and Translation Commission, the booth of the Republic of Uzbekistan, the guest of honor at this year's fair, and several sections representing various Saudi cultural initiatives.
During the tour, he listened to explanations about the accompanying programs and events, as well as what the fair offers in terms of interactive spaces that bring together readers, creators, and publishing houses under one cultural umbrella.
Syrian Minister Mohammed Yassin Saleh expressed his admiration for the outstanding organization and the remarkable turnout of visitors, praising the pioneering role that the Kingdom plays in supporting culture and books in the Arab world.
He stated, "What I saw at the Riyadh International Book Fair reflects the vitality of the Saudi cultural scene and its openness to the world. This fair is a meeting point that expresses a renewed awareness of the importance of culture in building individuals and enhancing civilizational communication."
The minister concluded his visit by emphasizing the importance of cultural cooperation between Syria and the Kingdom, noting that the cultural movement taking place in Riyadh represents an inspiring model for Arab integration in the fields of literature, thought, and publishing.
