أصدر مؤسس ورئيس مهرجان الكويت للمونودراما جمال اللهو، كتاباً بعنوان «الرائد» يوثق المسيرة الفنية الطويلة للفنان الكويتي المخضرم محمد المنيع.
وبدأ الكاتب اللهو، في تأليف الكتاب قبل نحو عامين بالتنسيق مع عائلة الفنان المنيع، قبل أن يصدر الكتاب مطبوعاً قبل أيام، وتمتد مسيرة المنيع مع التمثيل على مدى سبعة عقود تقريباً، ويعد أكبر فنان كويتي وخليجي على قيد الحياة ويبلغ عمره حالياً 95 عاماً.
وضم الكتاب 400 صفحة، و27 فصلاً، تناولت ذكريات المنيع وسيرته منذ الولادة، مروراً بتأسيس فرقة المسرح الكويتي، وأعماله الفنية والجوائز التي نالها، إضافة إلى أصدقائه ومن عاصره من الفنانين.
وقال المؤلف جمال اللهو، فكرة كتاب «الرائد» أتت من قبل أبناء الفنان محمد المنيع، وتم إعداده معتمداً على أرشيفي الخاص، كما استعنت بمن يمتلكون أرشيفاً صحفياً وصوراً نادرة جداً للفنان المنيع.
وولد الفنان محمد المنيع عام 1930، وخلال فترة دراسته القصيرة في مدرسة الأحمدي، لفت الأنظار في المسرحيات المدرسية وبدا ممثلاً بارعاً في ذلك الزمان، ومع ذلك، لم يتفرغ للتمثيل، بل انخرط في الكثير من المهن الحرة والوظائف الحكومية حتى تقاعده.
وبجانب عمله، ومنذ ستينات القرن الماضي، لم يغب المنيع عن التمثيل أيضاً، فقد قادته موهبته لمحطات بارزة كثيرة، بينها نحو 60 مسلسلا وعملاً تلفزيونياً، آخرها مسلسل «عبرة شارع» عام 2018.
كما قدم المنيع في مسيرته الفنية الطويلة، نحو عشر مسرحيات ومثلها من الأفلام السينمائية التي توزعت بين العام 1963 و2015، وتعد فرقة المسرح الكويتي من المحطات الأهم في تاريخ المنيع، فقد كان أحد المؤسسين لها عام 1964.
The founder and president of the Kuwait Monodrama Festival, Jamal Al-Lahou, has published a book titled "Al-Ra'id," documenting the long artistic journey of the veteran Kuwaiti artist Mohammed Al-Munai.
Author Al-Lahou began writing the book about two years ago in coordination with the family of the artist Al-Munai, and the book was recently published in print. Al-Munai's acting career spans nearly seven decades, and he is considered the oldest living Kuwaiti and Gulf artist, currently at the age of 95.
The book comprises 400 pages and 27 chapters, covering Al-Munai's memories and biography from birth, through the establishment of the Kuwaiti Theater Company, his artistic works, and the awards he has received, in addition to his friends and contemporaries in the artistic field.
Author Jamal Al-Lahou stated that the idea for the book "Al-Ra'id" came from the children of artist Mohammed Al-Munai, and it was prepared based on my personal archive, as well as with the help of those who possess a journalistic archive and very rare photos of artist Al-Munai.
Artist Mohammed Al-Munai was born in 1930, and during his short time studying at the Ahmadiah School, he caught attention in school plays and was seen as a talented actor of that time. However, he did not dedicate himself solely to acting; instead, he engaged in many freelance professions and government jobs until his retirement.
Alongside his work, since the 1960s, Al-Munai has also remained active in acting. His talent has led him to many significant milestones, including approximately 60 series and television works, the latest being the series "Ibrah Shar'" in 2018.
Throughout his long artistic career, Al-Munai has presented around ten plays and an equal number of films, which were distributed between 1963 and 2015. The Kuwaiti Theater Company is one of the most important milestones in Al-Munai's history, as he was one of its founders in 1964.
