In an unexpected move that shook the artistic community and disrupted box office calculations, star Ahmed Helmy decided to blow up his stable public image, shifting his usual focus from comedy and joy to a dark and treacherous area he has never ventured into before.
In the opening scenes of the teaser for his new film "Hadouta," the usual smile is completely absent, replaced by a harsh appearance dripping with anger: tattered clothes, a thick beard, and wary looks of a "thug" character who finds himself filled with conflicts after his memory betrays him and he loses the ability to remember the precious prey he hides from the pursuing gangs.
The plot becomes more complicated when this outlaw resorts to the halls of psychiatry, undergoing intense hypnosis sessions that dig into the wounds of his childhood and penetrate the traumas and deposits that shaped his aggressive personality following the early departure of his parents and his upbringing among strangers.
This visual and artistic shock comes at a very critical time, as Ahmed Helmy faces a fateful test after a four-year hiatus from both small and big screens, and the disappointing numbers of his recent films, making his portrayal of the thug a real gamble: either a resounding rise that completely reshapes his career or a deepening of the current crisis.
It is worth noting that the anticipated work, set to be released on November 11, features a collective participation of a constellation of prominent stars including Amina Khalil, Khaled El Sawy, and Magdy El Masry, and is written by Ahmed Abdel Rahman and directed by Mazen Ashraf.
