أطلق قاض في لندن، أمس (الأربعاء)، سراح المغني الأمريكي كريس براون، الذي يُحاكَم في بريطانيا بتهمة الاعتداء والضرب في ملهى ليلي، وذلك بكفالة قدرها خمسة ملايين جنيه إسترليني (6.7 مليون دولار).
وسيتمكن النجم البالغ من العمر 36 عاماً، من إحياء الحفلات المقررة كجزء من جولته الدولية التي من المقرر أن تبدأ في 8 يونيو في أمستردام وتشمل مواعيد عدة في بريطانيا، حسب حكم القاضي في محكمة ساوثوورك الجنائي.
وبعد اتهامه بالضلوع في ممارسات عنيفة في الماضي، ألقي القبض على براون الخميس الماضي في فندق في مانشستر (شمال إنجلترا)، ثم وُجهت إليه تهمة الاشتباه في ارتكابه اعتداء في نادٍ ليلي بحي راقٍ في لندن في 19 فبراير 2023.
ويُتهم براون بضرب المنتج الموسيقي أبراهام «آبي» دياو بشكل متكرر بزجاجة في ملهى «تايب» الليلي.
وقال القاضي إن كريس براون، الذي لم يكن حاضراً في جلسة الاستماع أمس (الأربعاء)، سيتعين عليه تقديم عنوانه إلى المحكمة ولن يُسمح له بالذهاب إلى الملهى الليلي المعني.
ومن المقرر أن يمثل مجدداً أمام القضاء في العشرين من يونيو إلى جانب رجل أمريكي آخر هو أومولولو أكينلولو (38 عاماً) اتُهم السبت الماضي بالاعتداء الخطير والضرب.
وكان المغني، الذي أصبح من نجوم موسيقى «ار اند بي» في سن 19 عاماً فقط وباع عشرات الملايين من الأسطوانات، في جولة في بريطانيا حينها.
A judge in London released American singer Chris Brown yesterday (Wednesday) on bail set at five million pounds ($6.7 million) as he faces charges of assault and battery in a nightclub.
The 36-year-old star will be able to perform at scheduled concerts as part of his international tour, which is set to begin on June 8 in Amsterdam and includes several dates in the UK, according to the ruling by the judge at Southwark Crown Court.
After being accused of involvement in violent practices in the past, Brown was arrested last Thursday at a hotel in Manchester (northern England) and was subsequently charged with suspicion of committing an assault at a nightclub in an upscale area of London on February 19, 2023.
Brown is accused of repeatedly hitting music producer Abraham "Abby" Diaw with a bottle at the "Tape" nightclub.
The judge stated that Chris Brown, who was not present at the hearing yesterday (Wednesday), will have to provide his address to the court and will not be allowed to go to the nightclub in question.
He is scheduled to appear in court again on June 20 alongside another American man, Omololu Akinlolu (38), who was charged last Saturday with serious assault and battery.
The singer, who became an R&B star at just 19 years old and has sold tens of millions of records, was on tour in the UK at the time.
