On Saudi National Day, we recall the journey of a nation founded by King Abdulaziz - may God rest his soul - and continued by his royal sons, who carried on the building process, leading to the era of the Custodian of the Two Holy Mosques, King Salman bin Abdulaziz. Under his reign, the Kingdom has witnessed an important phase of development and transformation, with a pivotal role played by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, the architect of Saudi Vision 2030.
Today, the Saudi economy is undergoing a wide transformation towards diversification and sustainability, with the growing role of non-oil sectors and the expansion of investments in tourism, technology, industry, mining, and logistics services, alongside empowering the private sector and small and medium enterprises.
Development is not limited to projects and numbers; its essence is the Saudi human being, through empowering youth and women, developing capabilities, creating job opportunities, and investing in education, knowledge, and innovation.
What the Kingdom is witnessing today reflects an ambitious vision that combines the strength of the present with readiness for the future, working towards building a more diverse, competitive, and sustainable economy.
The private sector has also become more present in the development journey, and opportunities for small and medium enterprises and entrepreneurs have increased, at a time when digital and technological transformations have opened new avenues for investment, work, and innovation. At the core of this transformation lies the importance of the human element. The numbers reflect part of this transformation; the Saudi economy recorded a real growth of 4.5% during 2025, while non-oil activities grew by 4.9%, and the GDP at current prices reached about 4.789 trillion riyals. These indicators not only reflect an increase in the size of the economy but also indicate the expansion of economic activity and the diversification of sources of Saudi growth; true development is not measured solely by the size of GDP or investment flows but by the economy's ability to create opportunities, enhance productivity, qualify competencies, and improve the quality of life.
On National Day, we take pride in what has been achieved during the reign of King Salman bin Abdulaziz and the transformation led by Crown Prince and Prime Minister Mohammed bin Salman, and we look forward with confidence to an economic future that befits the Kingdom's status and the aspirations of its people.
Ninety-six years of building... and a nation that continues to shape its future with confidence and ambition...
Long live your glory, O Nation.
