•• I saw him speaking with his usual arrogance, which diminished his stature in the eyes of people, leading them to despise him and causing him to fall from their favor. At that moment, I remembered the noble prophetic saying: (Indeed, Allah, the Exalted, has removed from you the arrogance of ignorance and pride in ancestry. A believer is pious, and a wicked person is miserable. You are the children of Adam, and Adam is made of dust. Let men abandon their pride in their people, for they are but coal from the coal of Hell, or they will be less significant to Allah than the beetles that push with their filthy noses).
•• That phoenix does not celebrate his pure days with people; rather, he has become consumed by the misery of his gypsy words, from which there is no cure. When his devil beautifies him and whispers in his heart, his lips jump with every breeze, and he falls flat on his face. And when he sees joy swirling in the eyes of people, he shatters like a pottery piece seeking a break. He lets his thoughts flow, and his eager tongue feeds on the brokenness of others, like a squirrel with its wide eyes, renewed teeth, and an anticipated tail.
•• This wealthy man prepares himself to think that his words nourish his veins, but when the feathers of his pride are shaken off, the pain of his tongue will stir. And when the volcanoes of anger roar at that gypsy, he collapses like a bird caught in a trap, letting out a gasp of pain that has long been aching. And when he descends to the people, he will land on the mouth of a burning volcano. When he feels the pain and torment, his medications and painkillers will be of no use to him. There is nothing in life harder than this harsh lesson.
•• Does that ignorant rich man not know that his speech, tinged with superiority and arrogance, has led him to vanity and pride? It will leave marks on his community and individuals, causing the collapse of human bonds. Does he not realize that with his words filled with arrogance, he is contending with his pride? He will incur the wrath of the Creator, which will distance him from His mercy and bounty. Does he not understand that with this arrogance and his view of himself with reverence and esteem, he will lead himself to isolation, leaving him alone among people? It is a disease from which there is no cure.
