The World Health Organization categorizes age stages as follows:
– Youth: from age 18 to 44 years.
– Adulthood: from age 45 to 59 years.
– Old age: from age 60 and above.
However, these classifications are purely statistical and do not mean that everyone who reaches sixty has lost their energy or youth. Reality is full of living examples of people in their seventies and eighties who engage in sports, work, and contribute creatively with energy that is no less than that of the young. Additionally, some age prematurely due to health neglect or psychological stress.
True youth is measured by fitness, health, and vitality, as well as the ability to keep up with life with an open mind and an optimistic spirit. Old age, on the other hand, is when a person surrenders to stopping learning and giving, not when their years increase.
Thus, "age" is a renewing journey; in youth, we build and take risks, in adulthood, we gain maturity and experience, and in old age, we find wisdom and memories. However, we remain young as long as we keep our minds and hearts alive with life. Therefore, age is not just a number on an ID card, but a state that a person lives in body, spirit, and mind.
In summary: age is not measured by the number of years.
