On the twenty-third of September, the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia commemorates its unification, not merely as a historical event, but as the beginning of a journey for a nation that has transitioned in less than a century from establishing unity and building the state to a phase of economic transformation and creating regional and international influence.
The National Day is not just a revival of a historical image of King Abdulaziz, may God have mercy on him, as he unites the country.
Rather, it is a revival of an idea.
The idea that a nation is not built in a single day.
Abdulaziz unified the land. His sons after him built the state and its institutions and established its presence.
Under the reign of Salman bin Abdulaziz and Mohammed bin Salman, the Kingdom is undergoing a different phase: building a new economy, expanding tools of national power, and maintaining sovereignty in a world witnessing rapid conflicts and transformations.
The challenges have changed, but the essence of the equation has not changed much.
About a century ago, the question was: How does this land unite and become a state?
Today, the question has become: How does this state become one of the most influential and competitive powers in the world of the future?
And between these two questions lies the story of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia.
The story of a nation that began with the unity of the land, then built the strength of the state, and today strives to shape the future.
On National Day, we do not look at the past as if it were finished pages, but rather as the foundation upon which the Kingdom stands as it enters a new phase of its history.
From Abdulaziz to Salman, and from the epic of unification to Vision 2030, the Saudi equation remains clear. A unified homeland, sovereignty that is non-negotiable, national interests that are safeguarded, continuous development, balanced partnership relations with brothers and friends, and ambitions that do not stop at what has been achieved, but always look to what is beyond.
Thus, the distance between 1932 and the era of Vision 2030 encapsulates a story of exceptional transformation. From the unification of the land to the building of the state, and from the strength of oil to diversifying the tools of economic, political, and technological power.
Every year, may the homeland, its leadership, people, and land, be in dignity, security, stability, and prosperity.
