الرفعة والقوة والسمو، هي صفات كاسية عن كل عيب رغب فيه الشائن الحط ممن يتمتع بتلك الصفات الرفيعة.
وأدبنا ماضياً وحاضراً يعلي تلك الصفات، (فالأعشى قال في تطاول اللئام على الكرام:
كناطحِ صخرةٍ يوماً ليُوهِنَها
فلم يَضِرْها، وأوْهى قَرنَه الوَعِلُ. وقال أيضاً الحسين بن حُميد:
يا ناطحَ الجبلِ العالي ليُوهِنَهُ
أشفِقْ على الرأسِ، لا تُشفِقْ على الجبلِ. وقيل نثراً: لا يضرُّ السحابَ نبحُ الكلاب، ولن يَضيرَ السماءَ نقيقُ الضفادع.
والبحث عن علو هذه الصفات لن يعجز الباحث عن وجودها في كل الآداب العالمية.
وفي كل يوم يبزغ لنا شأننا بما يتحقق لبلادنا من تطور وإنجاز عالمي، وأن فخرنا بجملة الإنجازات يؤكد على إسراعنا نحو المقدمة بالمواصلة الدائبة لتحديد موقعنا في القمة، ولا يعنينا ما تخرجه الأفواه من بذاءة أو محاولة الحط من إنجازاتنا بترديد: كانوا.. يعنينا تريد: أين أصبحوا..
وحتى وإن كنا، فماهية وجودنا هي نفس الخصال، ماضياً وحاضراً.
والمفاخرة ليست بالماضي وإنما بما أنت عليه الآن، وإن كان لك وجود مشرف ماضوي.
فلتكف الألسن المعوجة عن هذيانها الأعجمي، فنحن نكتب بلسان عربي فصيح مبين.
ولفصحاتنا أدلة مشعة في كل شؤون الحياة، نحن وطن استوطن النجاح، وأدلتنا على ذلك أننا أصبح لنا مقعد عالمي (ضمن دول الـ20).
وزيارة ولي العهد لواشنطن أكدت وسائل العالم أن استقباله كان من أفخم الاستقبالات، وإنجازه لبلاده من أضخم الاتفاقات الدولية التي ستعود للسعودية بنتائج مستقبلية سوف ترفع من مكانة البلاد ارتفاعاً يضاهي الدول الكبيرة إنجازاً ورفعة.
وها هي الأيام، والأحداث تؤكد علو كعبنا في كل المجالات.
فليتركنا كل شائن، وليفاخر بنا كل محب.
فالحياة تحني هامتها لمن رفع بنيانها.
Elevation, strength, and nobility are qualities that cover every flaw desired by those who seek to belittle those who possess such lofty traits.
Our literature, past and present, elevates these qualities, (for Al-A'sha said regarding the arrogance of the base towards the noble:
Like one who butts a rock one day to weaken it
It did not harm it, and the wild goat weakened its horn. And Al-Hussein bin Humaid also said:
O you who butt the high mountain to weaken it
Have pity on the head, do not have pity on the mountain. It has also been said in prose: The barking of dogs does not harm the clouds, and the croaking of frogs will not harm the sky.
The search for the elevation of these qualities will not leave the researcher unable to find them in all global literatures.
Every day, our significance emerges with the developments and global achievements realized by our country, and our pride in the totality of these achievements confirms our swift progress towards the forefront through continuous efforts to define our position at the summit, and we are not concerned with what foul mouths utter or attempts to belittle our accomplishments by repeating: they were... what concerns us is: where have they become...
And even if we were, the essence of our existence is the same qualities, past and present.
Boasting is not about the past but rather about what you are now, even if you have an honorable past existence.
Let the twisted tongues cease their foreign ramblings, for we write in clear, eloquent Arabic.
Our eloquence has shining evidence in all aspects of life; we are a nation that has settled in success, and our evidence for that is that we now have a global seat (among the G20 countries).
