في قصة نجاة نادرة أثارت تفاعلًا واسعًا، تمكنت فرق الإنقاذ في فنزويلا من انتشال كلب يُدعى «بايلي» حيًا من تحت أنقاض مبنى انهار جراء الزلزالين اللذين ضربا شمال البلاد في 24 يونيو الماضي، وذلك بعد بقائه محاصرًا لنحو شهر.
وأظهر مقطع فيديو، انتشر على نطاق واسع عبر مواقع التواصل الاجتماعي، لحظة العثور على الكلب الصغير بين الركام، فيما ظهر رجال الإنقاذ وهم يرتدون الخوذات والسترات الواقية ويقدمون له المياه، بينما كان جسده مغطى بالغبار، في مشهد وصفه كثيرون بالمعجزة.
وعُثر على «بايلي» إلى جانب مالكته التي لقيت حتفها إثر انهيار المبنى، قبل أن يُنقل لتلقي الرعاية الطبية نظرًا إلى حالته الصحية الحرجة بعد الفترة الطويلة التي قضاها عالقًا تحت الأنقاض.
ولم تتوقف القصة عند لحظة إنقاذه، إذ أصبح الكلب، بحسب ما تداولته ناشطة عبر منصة «إكس»، تحت رعاية عائلة مالكته الراحلة، التي تضم ابنتها البالغة من العمر 11 عامًا ووالدها، ليجد في منزله الجديد مأوى بعد نجاته من واحدة من أقسى تجارب البقاء.
