على مدار العقود الماضية، عرف العالم عشرات القراصنة الإلكترونيين، لكن قلة قليلة منهم استطاعت أن تحافظ على هالة مرعبة من الغموض مثل «فينباس فيشر»، الرجل الذي نفذ أضخم عمليات القرصنة في التاريخ الحديث، وأسقط إمبراطوريات تجسس حكومية، ثم اختفى تماماً دون أن تتوصل أي جهة أمنية لطرف خيط يحدد هويته!
يُنظر إلى «فيشر» باعتباره الأب الروحي للقرصنة ذات الأهداف السياسية، بعد أن جعل من نفسه عدواً أول لشركات تطوير برمجيات التجسس الحكومية حول العالم.
ضربة حطمت إمبراطوريات التجسس
بدأت أسطورة «فيشر» تتشكل في أغسطس 2014، عندما فجر مفاجأة مدوية باختراق شركة Gamma Group المطورة لبرنامج التجسس الشهير FinFisher. وعلى حسابه الساخر، نشر تسريبات ضخمة شملت أدلة الاستخدام، وقوائم الأسعار، والشفرات المصدريّة.
لكن زلزاله الأكبر ضرب بعد عام واحد فقط، وتحديداً في 2015:
- إسقاط العملاق الإيطالي: اخترق شركة Hacking Team الإيطالية التي كانت تبيع برامج التجسس للحكومات، واستولى على 400 غيغابايت من البيانات السرية والعقود المغلقة.
- الفضيحة المدوية: كشفت تسريباته فضائح استخدام برامج التجسس ضد مدنيين في عدة دول، وانتهت الكارثة بانهيار الشركة الإيطالية وبيعها بالكامل مقابل «يورو واحد فقط»!
«روبن هود» الرقمي.. سرقة البنوك ودعم الشرطة
لم تتوقف هجمات «فيشر» عند شركات التجسس، بل امتدت لتشمل أجهزة الشرطة والبنوك العالمية:
- نشر الأسرار: اخترق سيرفرات نقابة شرطة كاتالونيا، ونشر شروحاً تفصيلية لكيفية تنفيذ الهجوم ليُعلّم الآخرين.
- سرقة البنوك للخير: استهدف بنك Cayman National Bank ونفذ عمليات سحب سرية لسنوات، مبرراً ذلك بأنه يتبرع بهذه الأموال لجهات ذات نفع عام، حيث حول ما لا يقل عن 10 آلاف دولار من عملة البيتكوين لجهات خيرية!
من هو«فينياس فيشر»؟
رغم التحقيقات العابرة للقارات، لم تتوصل أجهزة الأمن لشيء. وأغلقت إيطاليا ملف التحقيق دون أدلة، فحذف «فيشر» جميع حساباته وتبخر تماماً من الفضاء الرقمي.
وتعددت النظريات حول هويته:
- البعض يراه ناشطاً فوضوياً يدافع عن الحريات.
- آخرون يصنفونه كمجرم إلكتروني شديد الخطورة.
بينما ترجح نظرية ثالثة أنه شخصية وهمية تديرها استخبارات دولة عظمى لتغطية عملياتها!
لكن «فيشر» كان قد ترك رسالة ساخرة قبل اختفائه قال فيها: «كل ما أقوله ويتضمن أدلة عن هويتي، هو نصفه مزاح ونصفه الآخر معلومات مضللة!».. ليبقى حتى اليوم اللغز الأكبر في تاريخ الأمن السيبراني.

"Fisher" is viewed as the spiritual father of politically motivated hacking, having made himself the number one enemy of government spyware development companies around the world.
A Blow that Shattered Espionage Empires
The legend of "Fisher" began to take shape in August 2014, when he made a sensational surprise by hacking the Gamma Group, the developer of the famous spyware FinFisher. On his satirical account, he published massive leaks that included usage evidence, price lists, and source codes.
But his biggest earthquake struck just one year later, specifically in 2015:
- Taking down the Italian giant: He hacked the Italian company Hacking Team, which sold spyware to governments, and seized 400 gigabytes of confidential data and closed contracts.
- The sensational scandal: His leaks revealed scandals involving the use of spyware against civilians in several countries, and the disaster ended with the collapse of the Italian company, which was sold entirely for "just one euro"!
The Digital "Robin Hood": Bank Theft and Supporting Police
Fisher's attacks did not stop at spyware companies; they extended to include police departments and global banks:
- Publishing secrets: He hacked the servers of the Catalonia Police Union and published detailed explanations on how to carry out the attack to teach others.
- Bank theft for good: He targeted Cayman National Bank and carried out secret withdrawals for years, justifying it by claiming he was donating the money to public benefit organizations, having transferred no less than $10,000 in Bitcoin to charitable causes!
Who is "Finneas Fisher"?
Despite cross-continental investigations, security agencies have found nothing. Italy closed the investigation file without evidence, and Fisher deleted all his accounts and completely vanished from the digital space.
Theories about his identity abound:
- Some see him as an anarchist activist defending freedoms.
- Others classify him as a highly dangerous cybercriminal.
While a third theory suggests he is a fictional character managed by the intelligence of a superpower to cover up its operations!
However, Fisher had left a satirical message before his disappearance, stating: "Everything I say that includes evidence about my identity is half a joke and the other half misleading information!".. leaving him to remain, to this day, the greatest mystery in the history of cybersecurity.
