This horrific incident recalled to the German public the case of a ticket inspector who was beaten to death last February in the state of "Rhineland-Palatinate," for which the perpetrator was sentenced to 10 years in prison after delivering fatal blows to the inspector's head that caused a brain hemorrhage.
