سجلت ولاية أوديشا الهندية واقعة نادرة وصفت بالمعجزة، بعد نجاة رجل مسن مصاب بالشلل من موت محقق إثر حصاره داخل غرفته مع ثعبان سام شديد الخطورة لأكثر من 4 ساعات متواصلة دون أن يتعرض لأي لدغة.
وتعود تفاصيل الحادثة إلى إحدى قرى مقاطعة «بود»، عندما كان المسن نائماً في غرفته، ليتسلل الثعبان عبر نافذة تركت مفتوحة. وفور استيقاظه، فوجئ الرجل بالثعبان على سريره وعلى مسافة قريبة جداً منه، وأمام عجز ساقه وحالته الصحية التي تمنعه من الحركة تماماً، وجد نفسه مجبراً على البقاء ساكناً في وضع يحبس الأنفاس.
وعند اكتشاف أفراد العائلة للموقف الكارثي، تعاملوا مع الأمر بحذر شديد وضبط نفس عالٍ، متجنبين أي حركة عشوائية قد تستفز الثعبان وتدفعه للهجوم. وبعد نحو 4 ساعات من الترقب والمجازفة، نجحت الأسرة في وضع خطة لإخراج المسن من الغرفة بأمان تام، ليتسلل الثعبان بعدها مغادراً المنزل دون وقوع أي إصابات.
وقد أثارت الواقعة تفاعلاً واسعاً وذهولاً بين سكان المنطقة، الذين اعتبروا نجاة المسن المقعد في مثل هذه الظروف الحرجة وبقاءه هادئاً طوال تلك الساعات الطويلة بمثابة حياة جديدة.
The Indian state of Odisha recorded a rare incident described as a miracle, after an elderly man paralyzed from the waist down survived certain death after being trapped in his room with a highly venomous snake for more than 4 continuous hours without being bitten.
The details of the incident date back to a village in the "Boud" district, when the elderly man was sleeping in his room, and the snake slithered in through a window that had been left open. Upon waking up, the man was shocked to find the snake on his bed and very close to him. Due to his paralyzed legs and his health condition that completely prevented him from moving, he found himself forced to remain still in a breath-holding position.
When family members discovered the catastrophic situation, they handled it with extreme caution and high self-control, avoiding any random movements that might provoke the snake and cause it to attack. After about 4 hours of waiting and risking, the family successfully devised a plan to safely extract the elderly man from the room, allowing the snake to slither away from the house without any injuries occurring.
The incident sparked widespread reactions and astonishment among the local residents, who considered the survival of the paralyzed elderly man in such critical circumstances and his ability to remain calm throughout those long hours as akin to a new lease on life.
