نجحت الهند في إطلاق أثقل قمر اصطناعي للاتصالات من أراضيها، إلى مداره الفضائي.
وقال رئيس منظمة أبحاث الفضاء الهندية (ISRO) ف. نارايانان في مركز سريهاريكوتا الفضائي في شرق البلاد إنه تم إطلاق القمر الاصطناعي «CMS-03» الذي يزن 4.4 طن المصمم للاتصالات فوق المحيط الهندي والأراضي الهندية إلى الفضاء بنجاح بواسطة صاروخ «LVM3-M5» الذي كان يجري رحلته الأولى.
وأفادت المنظمة بأن «CMS-03» هو قمر اصطناعي للاتصالات متعدد النطاقات، سيوفر خدمات تغطي منطقة محيطية واسعة، بما في ذلك اليابسة الهندية.
ويعد صاروخ «LVM3-M5» نسخة محسنة من الصاروخ الذي أرسل مسباراً هندياً إلى سطح القمر في أغسطس 2023.
India has successfully launched the heaviest communication satellite from its territory into space.
The Chairman of the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO), V. Narayanan, stated at the Sriharikota space center in the east of the country that the satellite "CMS-03," weighing 4.4 tons and designed for communications over the Indian Ocean and Indian territories, was successfully launched into space by the "LVM3-M5" rocket, which was making its first flight.
The organization reported that "CMS-03" is a multi-band communication satellite that will provide services covering a vast oceanic area, including Indian land.
The "LVM3-M5" rocket is an improved version of the rocket that sent an Indian probe to the surface of the moon in August 2023.
