Bassamanik expressed her disappointment with the bystanders who merely watched, describing them as "cowards." She explained that she suffered bites and bruises on her leg, while "Sparky" came away with injuries from the fierce bite.

In a Facebook post, the septuagenarian urged for the video to be shared to raise awareness about the dangers of such attacks, emphasizing that her pet dog is "the reason she wakes up every day," and that she did not hesitate to do the impossible to protect him.
