على مدى 35 عامًا، طار ستوكر أكثر من 24 مليون ميل، أي ما يعادل الدوران حول الأرض أكثر من 960 مرة أو السفر إلى القمر 50 مرة، ولم يكتفِ بزيارة أكثر من 100 دولة، بل حوّل السماء إلى مكتب عمل ومنزل ثانٍ، حيث قضى أحيانًا 12 يومًا متتالية دون أن يلمس سريرًا، متنقلًا بين نيوارك وسان فرانسيسكو وبنكوك ودبي، مع توقفات قصيرة في صالات المطارات الفاخرة.
