في حادثة مأساوية وقعت، ظهر اليوم (الخميس)، على طريق الإسكندرية - مطروح الساحلي أمام قرية ثواني جابر بالضبعة، لقي شخصان مصرعهما وأصيب 18 آخرون إثر تصادم أربع سيارات، بينها سيارة نقل انقلبت وتسببت في اشتعال النيران.
تلقت غرفة عمليات مديرية الصحة بمطروح بلاغًا بالحادثة، مما دفع الجهات المختصة إلى التحرك السريع لمواجهة تداعياته.
بدورها، دفعت وزارة الصحة بـ 10 سيارات إسعاف مجهزة إلى موقع الحادثة، حيث وصلت أول سيارة خلال دقيقتين فقط، فيما تواصلت جهود الإنقاذ مع وصول بقية السيارات لتقديم الدعم الطبي العاجل.
وأوضحت الوزارة في بيان لها، أن الحصر المبدئي لتداعيات الحادثة تشير إلى نقل 18 مصابًا إلى مستشفى الضبعة المركزي لتلقي العلاج اللازم، فيما تم تسجيل حالتي وفاة.
وتخضع حاليًا لإجراءات الجهات المعنية، كما تمت تهيئة 10 سيارات إسعاف إضافية في حالة تأهب لضمان الجاهزية لأي تطورات طارئة.
وكلف وزير الصحة الدكتور خالد عبدالغفار نائبه الدكتور محمد الطيب، بالتوجه إلى مستشفى الضبعة المركزي، لمتابعة تقديم كافة أوجه الرعاية الصحية للمصابين ميدانيًا، مع استمرار التنسيق مع الجهات المعنية لضمان استجابة فعالة وسريعة.
In a tragic incident that occurred today (Thursday), on the Alexandria-Matrouh coastal road in front of the Thawani Jaber village in Dabaa, two people lost their lives and 18 others were injured as a result of a collision involving four cars, including a truck that overturned and caused a fire.
The Operations Room of the Matrouh Health Directorate received a report about the incident, prompting the relevant authorities to act swiftly to address its repercussions.
In response, the Ministry of Health dispatched 10 equipped ambulances to the scene of the accident, with the first ambulance arriving in just two minutes, while rescue efforts continued as the remaining vehicles arrived to provide urgent medical support.
The ministry clarified in a statement that the initial assessment of the incident's repercussions indicates that 18 injured individuals were transported to Dabaa Central Hospital for necessary treatment, while two fatalities were recorded.
Currently, the relevant authorities are conducting procedures, and an additional 10 ambulances have been prepared on standby to ensure readiness for any emergency developments.
Health Minister Dr. Khaled Abdel Ghaffar has tasked his deputy, Dr. Mohamed Al-Tayeb, with heading to Dabaa Central Hospital to monitor the provision of all aspects of healthcare for the injured on-site, while continuing coordination with the relevant authorities to ensure an effective and swift response.
