أيدت محكمة التمييز في الكويت حكم الإعدام بحق مقيم من جنسية دولة عربية، يعمل حارساً في إحدى المدارس، بعد إدانته بهتك عرض معلمة من جنسيته بالإكراه داخل مقر عملها.
وكانت النيابة العامة قد أسندت إلى المتهم قيامه بمباغتة المجني عليها داخل المدرسة أثناء تأديتها لعملها، حيث دخل مكتبها وأغلق الباب خلفه، ثم أقدم على هتك عرضها بالإكراه.
وبحسب تفاصيل القضية، أنكر المتهم ما نُسب إليه، غير أن محضر تفريغ كاميرات المراقبة أثبت الواقعة بشكل قاطع، الأمر الذي دفعه إلى التزام الصمت عند مواجهته بالأدلة.
ورأت المحكمة أن الوقائع والأدلة المقدمة كافية لإثبات الجريمة، وأيدت الحكم الصادر من محكمة أول درجة والقاضي بإعدام المتهم شنقاً حتى الموت.
The Court of Cassation in Kuwait upheld the death sentence against a resident of Arab nationality, who works as a guard at a school, after he was convicted of sexually assaulting a teacher of his nationality by force inside her workplace.
The Public Prosecution had charged the defendant with surprising the victim inside the school while she was performing her duties, as he entered her office and closed the door behind him, then proceeded to assault her by force.
According to the details of the case, the defendant denied the accusations against him; however, the surveillance camera footage conclusively proved the incident, which led him to remain silent when confronted with the evidence.
The court found that the facts and evidence presented were sufficient to prove the crime and upheld the ruling issued by the first-instance court, sentencing the defendant to death by hanging.
