حقق فريق الشباب رقمين سلبيين للمرة الأولى في تاريخه، بعد خسارته الكبيرة أمام الخليج بنتيجة 4-1 مساء الجمعة، ضمن الجولة الافتتاحية من الدوري السعودي للمحترفين (دوري روشن).
جاءت أهداف الخليج عن طريق جوشوا كينغ (هدفين)، وكونستانتينوس من ركلة جزاء، وصالح العمري، في الدقائق 5، 53، 64، و82، فيما سجّل كاراسكو هدف الشباب الوحيد من ركلة جزاء في الدقيقة 59.
ووفقاً لإحصاءات شبكة «أوبتا»، فإن هذه هي المرة الأولى التي يتلقى فيها الشباب الهزيمة في الجولة الافتتاحية لموسمين متتاليين في دوري المحترفين، كما أنها المرة الأولى التي يفشل فيها الفريق في تحقيق الفوز في أولى مبارياته لثلاثة مواسم متتالية، بعد تعادل وخسارتين.
ومن المقرر أن يلتقي الشباب مع الحزم يوم الجمعة 12 سبتمبر القادم، بينما يواجه الخليج نظيره الفيحاء في 13 من الشهر ذاته.

According to statistics from the "Opta" network, this is the first time that the youth team has suffered defeat in the opening round for two consecutive seasons in the Professional League, and it is also the first time that the team has failed to achieve victory in its first matches for three consecutive seasons, following a draw and two losses.
The youth team is scheduled to meet Al-Hazm on Friday, September 12, while Al-Khaleej will face Al-Fayha on the 13th of the same month.
