أشعلت عبارة «يلا بينا على دور الـ16» موقع التواصل الاجتماعي «X» بعد أن غرد بها الاتحاد المصري لكرة القدم عبر حسابه الرسمي، بعد فوز الفراعنة على المنتخب الأسترالي في الدور الـ32 بركلات الترجيح بنتيجة 4 أهداف مقابل هدفين، بعدما تعادل المنتخبان بهدف لكل منهما طوال أشواط المباراة الأربعة، وتأهله لدور الـ16 في بطولة كأس العالم لكرة القدم 2026 التي تحتضنها الولايات المتحدة وكندا والمكسيك.
من جانبه، أبدى اللاعب محمد صلاح سعادته بالتأهل التاريخى للفراعنة لدور الـ16 لبطولة كأس العالم 2026، مؤكداً أن عامل الخبرة كان له دور كبير فى حسم اللقاء.
وقال صلاح: «كانت علينا ضغوط كبيرة ونريد تحقيق شيء لجمهورنا، وركلة الجزاء توفيق كبير من الله.. وأحترم ميسي والأرجنتين كثيراً لو تقابلنا معهم فى دور الـ16، ولكن ننتظر نتيجة المباراة أمام الرأس الأخضر».

For his part, player Mohamed Salah expressed his happiness at the Pharaohs' historic qualification for the Round of 16 of the 2026 FIFA World Cup, confirming that experience played a significant role in deciding the match.
