أكد الهولندي آرني سلوت، مدرب فريق ليفربول الأول لكرة القدم، أن السويدي ألكسندر إيزاك سيعود إلى تدريبات الفريق، بدءًا من اليوم الخميس، حسبما أعلن النادي عبر حسابه الرسمي على منصة «إكس».
وتعافى إيزاك من كسر، ليعزز مساعي ليفربول للتأهل إلى دوري أبطال أوروبا، إذ يواجه باريس سان جيرمان في ربع نهائي البطولة.
وقال سلوت لوسائل الإعلام التابعة للنادي: «على الرغم من عدم جاهزيته للمشاركة الأساسية، لكن عاد إيزاك قبل الشهرين الأخيرين في الموسم الأخير، وستكون مفيدة لنا، ونصنع الكثير من الفرص».
وأضاف سلوت: «أليكس يعيش حالة مميزة بعد تأهل السويد لكأس العالم، واستعداده للعودة للتدريبات لأول مرة بعد غياب طويل».
وخضع المهاجم السويدي الدولي لعملية جراحية للتخلص من الإصابات التي تعرض لها خلال تدخل عنيف في مباراة توتنهام يوم 20 ديسمبر (كانون الأول)، ولن يكون خبر عودة إيزاك سعيداً لجمهور ليفربول فقط بل أيضاً لمنتخب بلاده السويد الذي تأهل لنهائيات كأس العالم 2026 بعد فوزه الصعب على بولندا بنتيجة 3/ 2.
وقد انضم إيزاك، صاحب الـ26 عامًا، إلى ليفربول في صفقة اشتراكية بقيمة 170 مليون دولار، بعد مفاوضات مطولة مع ناديه السابق نيوكاسل وذلك في فترة الانتقالات الصيفية الماضية.
The Dutch coach Arne Slot of the Liverpool first football team confirmed that Swedish player Alexander Isak will return to the team's training starting today, Thursday, as announced by the club via its official account on the "X" platform.
Isak has recovered from a fracture, which will bolster Liverpool's efforts to qualify for the UEFA Champions League, as they face Paris Saint-Germain in the quarter-finals of the tournament.
Slot told the club's media: "Although he is not ready for a starting role, Isak returned before the last two months of the previous season, and he will be beneficial for us as we create many opportunities."
He added: "Alex is in a special state after Sweden's qualification for the World Cup, and he is preparing to return to training for the first time after a long absence."
The Swedish international forward underwent surgery to address injuries sustained during a violent tackle in the match against Tottenham on December 20, and the news of Isak's return will not only be welcomed by Liverpool fans but also by his national team, Sweden, which qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals after a hard-fought victory over Poland with a score of 3-2.
Isak, who is 26 years old, joined Liverpool in a record transfer deal worth $170 million after lengthy negotiations with his previous club Newcastle during the last summer transfer window.
