تأهل منتخب تونس الأول لكرة القدم لنهائيات كأس العالم 2026 للمرة الثالثة توالياً والسابعة في تاريخه، بعد فوزه القاتل على مضيفه غينيا الاستوائية بهدف دون مقابل ضمن المجموعة الثامنة من التصفيات الإفريقية.
وأصبح منتخب تونس ثاني المنتخبات الأفريقية المتأهلة إلى نهائيات كأس العالم بعد شقيقه منتخب المغرب، والمنتخب العربي الثالث بعد منتخب الأردن الذي تأهل من قارة آسيا.
وشهد اللقاء تنافساً قويّاً بين المنتخبين وعانى المنتخب التونسي كثيراً، لكنه تمكن من انتزاع النقاط الثلاث وبطاقة التأهل للمونديال بعد أن استطاع البديل محمد علي بن رمضان إحراز هدف المباراة الوحيد مستغلاً تمريرة زميله فراس شواط ليسكن بن رمضان الكرة في المرمى هدفاً أول قاتلاً لتونس (د: 90+4).
ليحقق منتخب تونس فوزه الـ7 ويتصدر المجموعة الثامنة برصيد 22 نقطة حصدها من 7 انتصارات وتعادل ودون خسارة ومتقدماً بفارق 10 نقاط عن وصيفه منتخب ناميبيا، ليتأهل نسور قرطاج للمونديال للمرة السابعة بعد أعوام 1978 و1998 و2002 و2006 و2018 و2022.
أما منتخب غينيا الاستوائية فقد تجمد رصيده عند 10 نقاط في المركز الرابع، متخلفاً بفارق الأهداف عن ليبيريا، صاحب المركز الثالث، ليفرط في آخر آماله الضعيفة في المنافسة على التأهل.
ويتبقى للمنتخب التونسي مباراتان بالتصفيات، إذ سيحل ضيفاً على ساو تومي، ثم يستقبل ناميبيا يومي 6 و13 أكتوبر المقبل.

The Tunisian national football team has qualified for the 2026 World Cup finals for the third consecutive time and the seventh in its history, after a dramatic victory over its host Equatorial Guinea with a score of one goal to none in the eighth group of the African qualifiers.
Tunisia became the second African team to qualify for the World Cup finals after its brother team Morocco, and the third Arab team after Jordan, which qualified from Asia.
The match witnessed strong competition between the two teams, and the Tunisian team suffered a lot, but it managed to snatch the three points and the qualification ticket for the World Cup after substitute Mohamed Ali Ben Ramadan scored the only goal of the match, taking advantage of a pass from his teammate Firas Chaouat to place the ball in the net, a killer first goal for Tunisia (90+4 minutes).
This victory marks Tunisia's seventh win, placing them at the top of Group 8 with 22 points, achieved from 7 wins, 1 draw, and no losses, leading by 10 points over the runner-up Namibia, allowing the Eagles of Carthage to qualify for the World Cup for the seventh time after the years 1978, 1998, 2002, 2006, 2018, and 2022.
As for the Equatorial Guinea team, it remains at 10 points in fourth place, trailing on goal difference behind Liberia, which is in third place, thus losing its last weak hopes of competing for qualification.
The Tunisian team has two matches left in the qualifiers, as they will visit São Tomé, then host Namibia on October 6 and 13.
