قطر تدعو من طهران إلى استئناف المسار الدبلوماسي بين إيران وأمريكا

The Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Qatar, Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani, emphasized today (Thursday) the necessity of resuming the diplomatic track between Iran and the United States.

Al Thani, who is visiting Tehran, stressed during his meeting with Iranian Parliament Speaker Mohammad Baqer Qalibaf that dialogue represents the best way to address differences and avoid further escalation in the region.

The Qatari Prime Minister reviewed with Qalibaf the developments in the region and the efforts being made to de-escalate tensions and create favorable conditions for the resumption of dialogue.

Al Thani's visit and his meeting with his Iranian counterpart and Parliament Speaker Mohammad Qalibaf come to discuss peace efforts and the return to negotiations between Tehran and Washington, at a time when the U.S. Central Command (CENTCOM) announced that its forces had redirected 75 commercial vessels as of August 27.

CENTCOM clarified in posts on its account on "X" that U.S. forces also disrupted 3 vessels, while military teams boarded two other ships to verify compliance with blockade procedures.

It noted that U.S. Navy aircraft of the "EA-18G Growler" type, specialized in electronic warfare missions, continue their patrols in the skies of the Middle East alongside naval operations.

The U.S. Central Command stated that these movements are part of the ongoing efforts by the United States to enforce the blockade on Iran and monitor the movement of ships to ensure their compliance with U.S. procedures.
